  1. Thanks for your info buffalo. I have aftermarket tint in my truck, but I'm not sure if that could be my problem since the factory deck had clear reception, & I went in on saturday & had them exchange the antenna adapter to see if that was the problem. It wasn't. I actually think my install is the problem. When I bought the deck they admitted they hadn't installed one in a nitro before since it was the first year of the vehicle & the install took several hours & a few trips back to the shop before they claimed the problems were with the deck itself & since i bought the deck
  2. i have a d3 in my 07 nitro & have had problems mainly with am reception. im currently receiving almost no am at all, but in the best of times i would get a very high pitched squeal whenever i went under an overpass or on cloudier days. this deck sucks ass & my installer told me today it is actually 1 of pioneers worst decks. since i paid close to $1600 at the time, im sure you can understand how happy i am with it. other problems from the git go... -illumination has never worked, -speed sensor has never worked, -gps never gives me locations anywhere near my current location. 1
  3. sometimes I have to push the eject button a couple of times before my D3 will spit out the disk. Try that.
  4. hey HiFiSi, I have seen all the gauges you've posted here on my disk's files, but I only actually have the option to select 4 of them on my D3. The others don't appear even as options. Does this sound right to you?

Just factory speakers. No upgrades. No amps, or subs. I realise that what works in one may not work in another, but I figured if anyone who has an suv with no upgrades may give me a good start. When I try to do the adjustments I get frustrated with the narrow & wide. It seems that I get a little close to something good & go to tweak it & the whole thing changes. Since there's about 20 possible moves for each low mid & high, it's not a simple thing to set up. I will definitely write down the settings this time when I find one that works for me, I just didn't realise that the tec

Does anyone have a good EQ setting for metal music. I have an 07 nitro with a D3 & factory speakers. It sounded quite good until the last time my truck was in for warranty work my deck was reset & I lost the setting that took me months of tinkering to come up with. I've played around with it for a bit, but can't quite get the bass to be proper. If you can help, I would appreciate knowing the HPF setting & loudness setting as well. For some reason I can't quite grasp the whole narrow 1 & 2 & wide 1 & 2. 22 views & no responses. A cell phone pic of your EQ screen
  9. thanks guys, I'll look into these.
  10. Can anyone tell me what the best backup camera for a D3 is? I tried the search feature & maybe I'm not doing it right, but it doesn't come up with anything for me.
  11. hey after you have done the bypass, do you ever get the screen that says something to the effect of "motion detected" & you can no longer see the video? I haven't done the bypass yet but on occasion using the park brake this screen will come up.
  12. I think you all have convinced me. thanks for your help
  13. it doesn't ding continuously, only once each time you start moving, (if music is turned up loud enough you don't hear the ding). for the record, I've had my Nitro in to the shop a couple of times because the park brake wasn't holding the truck on even the slightest of slopes. It still doesn't do it's job properly & that's why I started using the "cheap bypass" in the first place. I will do the proper bypass though.
