This is a great mod I have been using it. I love having access to so many features on the main screen. I do agree that the buttons are hard to press and also believe a collapsible menu is a great idea. i had suggested it when these mods first came out but no one seemed interested. Two minor gripes are that I wish there was a POI button while in a route (if you want to stop and get food somewhere along your trip) and having the elevation show in feet regardless of how high you are (but i remember reading a fix for that somewhere else). Great job on my favorite mod!

well if anyone in the future reads this i ended up pulling out my unit and sure enough the cables were in the wrong spot. i had my ipod video cable coming from my ipod in the wrong input into the avic. i feel dumb.

I doubt this is possible but... I fear using voice commands cause i can be misinterpreted to calling someone inadvertently. Since the hangup sometime takes a long time, it is often too late and you end up calling someone you didn't mean. Is there a way to have Samantha say "Did you say" so that you don't call someone you didn't mean?

thank you for all the work that was put into this. i am having a hard time understanding though if i can make this work (probably because of language barriers between us). i have the hacked 3.0 (not 3.1) installed on my 700 with idt's 2nd, latest modifications. will this work?

thanks. i have the 700 so i cant play dvd disks regardless but im going to try to use the video in cable soon with an external device. does anyone have a free video they can point me to that they know for a fact works. i don't know why the mpeg-4 video i tried putting on an sd card doesn't show up when i browse the sd card in the avic.

i have the same problem too. i haven't done too much troubleshooting yet. i used to be able to play video from my ipod and remember trying it one day and it stopped working. this was the same video (a podcast) that worked before. at first i thought maybe the ipod video cable came undone, but never bothered to check cause i didn't want to pull out the unit. then i decided that video connection should be fine from ipod because i can display album art. so i would assume the video cable is plugged in properly. are you getting album art on your unit? i also tried setting the video settings on

wow that looks great and should be functionally useful. i think i am going to apply it. one question is that is the warning (**IT'S MANDATORY TO DELETE THE SAVE FILES, it's in My Flash Disk\USER\UserData\iGo\save, everything should be deleted except for favourites.dat if you have it) only needed if you are applying a different theme or should we also delete everything if we are using the provided theme?

Is it just me or is it sad how most posts are about how the update doesn't work, or needs to be run a few times to work? You would expect reviews for a major upgrade to be favorable and raving about how great the improvements are, not merely "my buttons respond faster". Not knocking on the reviewers, rather the product. They could improve so much on this thing and yet the results are minimal.

well that sucks if it doesn't pause music with an ipod. not worth buying, but i probably will anyway.

i am optimistic about 3.0 since it is the same used for the new products. i think they prob did do a lot to fix the bugs with the unit so they don't have a f-series disaster repeat. It probably really hurt their sells so they probably won't do it again. anyone else think the 3.0 will be significant?

im hearing reports that it is back (not working for me), some saying 25, some saying 8. give it a try if you were waiting for it to buy one of these units. also read that the cashback will be instant now but can't confirm.

i haven't heard of many people complaining that the avic misinterprets voice commands. i am too afraid to use the voice activation for name dialing, as i had a few phone calls to contact i rarely speak to so it was awkward. the avic does not always disconnect right after the hangup buttons (hard or soft) are pressed. i decided to limit voice recognition to ipod, but occassionally the avic thought i was wanting to call someone and started dialing. i wish there was a way to use vr just for ipod to prevent this. anyone else have this problem? also, this is sort of unrelated, but a search yiel

someone pm'ed me about this so ill paste what i said here. its for an 08 frontier: I bought mine at Circuit City. The part is 99-7581 made by metra. I had to pay 20 dollars for it because it comes with a double din trim and also a double to single din adapter if you wanted to use a single din radio (they of course don't sell them separately). Basically I spent 20 dollars for a small piece of plastic but it does a good (not flawless but better than how it looks) job of sealing the edges. I would recommend it even though its pricey for what you are getting. Hope that helped.

id love a time display. I hate waiting for the unit to power up to see what time it is. I know its prob not possible.
