  1. I just got some info from my friend in Brooklyn who has the bypass, connected with two toggle switches, why two dont know, but his bypass it still working, then again he did not upgrade to the 70mt as yet.
  2. the way i figure it using a real disc as whtcrx stated should not make a difference, the system upgraded with the disc without a hitch. if the copied disc were missing any input, i think the system should some how reject the discs with an error code of some sorts. Nahrah it looks like the only other option is the soldering option, which i'm not going to do, since its not that important. until i find out something that doesnt void the warranty, i'll just let it be.
  3. this is my problem now i've just upgraded my N2 with the 70mt copied discs. i did notice the difference in the maps. the other thing i notice is that my grounded bypass w/ toggle switch is working in a different way. it look to me as if Pioneer was aware of the current grownded bypass, and programmed the new upgrade disc to ignore the parking brake once the vehicle is showing motion from the VSS. very smart on their behalf, i put the system in connection mode and immediately noticed the happenings. once the vehicle is stopped and the parking brake switch is grounded it will say parking
  4. so how was your bypass installed, toggle switch or solder? i connected a toggle switch to my parking brake wire and grounded it to the body. btw which N series do you have?
  5. i'll just throw this out there did you do the reset from the faceplate function? i'm not in anyway an expert with this system but i learn a little more each time i play with the functions. i did my own install of all wires in about an hour 1/2, including bypass, with the parkin brake toggle switch ground. even though it always displays the parking brake inproperly installed, it still functions through the bypass. hope this helps.
  6. this is a great place for my new toy. it's good to know this place is here for techincal help. I recently purchased a flawless N2 system, and i will do my own install. after search all i need to know is here for me thanks. i look forward to being able to contribute to this forum. Thanks
