It's funny, this morning I jumped in my car, started it and the screen came out. I changed the setting to manual control of the screen right away and reconfigured everything. I'm rocking again disturbing my neighbors! LOL Go figure, 40 years old and still disturbing the neighbors. Life is great!!!! Thanks for you help. I will get a new ribbon and replace it soon!

I havn't had any blank screens, the screen won't come out. Is that related to the ribbon replacement? I ask because mine has already been sent back and gone through the replacement process.

Hi All, I have a N2 with a N3 brain. Been working awesome with no problems, I always have the screen pop out when start the car because I am always adjusting sound settings. Was listening to some AC/DC on the way to the office this morning and everything worked great. Got in my car to grab some lunch and the screen wouldn't open. Hit the reset button lost sound quality and it still won't open. I need the screen to open so I can configure the sound and use the NAV (which I use every day). Any Ideas? There was no warnings of any problems at all. Thanks in advance...Nsurenu

It shouldn't matter if it's on the right left or middle of your car as long as the antenna has a clear veiw of the sky. Two feet either way won't make that much difference!

OK, you have the same setup I have. The Ipod functions suck, those six buttons seem to only allow what you want to see on the screen which is limited to 6 or 8 characters. It sucks real bad. You can use your toogle (joy stick) or the arrows on screen to see the Genre and then keep toogle left or right until you get to the desired song but it's limited by the 6 to 8 characters. I find my self toogling all the time not ever really knowing where I am! I keep doing it until I hear a song I want. Are you also using the CD-IB100 unit for the ipod?

What unit do you have? N1, N2 or N3? I think you have a N2 by your discription, am I correct?

You can upgrade to an N3 but not an N4.

This guy did respond to me once. I sent him a PM while the auction was live, he replied once and said "i dont really know alot about thoes systems, i just want to get ride of it. Because i am tired to tryin to figure it out." (copied from his email to me). I live up the road from him and told him I would meet him and give him cash then he never responded! IMO I would use caution!

You indicate the antenna is on the dash, did Best Buy (not Best Installers)use the metal pad or is the antenna just attached to the dash without any metal under the magnetic antenna?

I don't think a N4 or D3 disk will work in your N1. I have a N2 and they won't work in mine!

I have and N2 with the DVD software it came with. I also have a D3 in my wifes truck with the 2007 software. Can I make a copy of the D3 software and use it in my N2? I ask this because the N2 upgrade software that's on Pioneers website for $250 (Flipping Crazy) does not say it's compatiable with the D3. Yes I'm a newbee and I searched everywhere and have not seen this question!
