  1. Now that you mention it, the headlights are relayed from the battery, but the fog lights are just in line plug and play.
  2. Now last night when I turned on the headlights, all the audio dropped. I shut I off and turn it back on and it's fine.it happened a couple more times after that too. I think I'm officially over this deck lol.
  3. I have a JL hd900/5 running my fronts rears, and sub. Forgive my ignorance but when you say the kenwood had a problem with the demands of the amp, what is there for it to have a hard time with? You're just using remote power to turn them on and feed them signal for the music. Or is that whole process a lot more demanding than it sounds?
  4. No, I don't have a diesel, I just turn the key to on, put my seatbelt on, then start the car. I never really noticed it before, I guess I just do it that way out of habit. I was told to buy a Kenwood dnx9960 before this, but I like the Pioneer interface for the ipod and such so much I figured I'd give Pioneer another shot. The avic-f series was a disaster, as my f90bt shows as well as my friend's which failed as well (in weekend cars, no less.) I'll give it another weekend or so, as much as I hate to do it if I see anything else disconcerting about this hu I'm just going to take advantage of
  5. So I got a z120bt installed in my car a couple days ago. I previously had a f90bt, it took a dump and is out for warranty service. In the meantime I bought a z120bt to upgrade as I'm over the drama with the f90bt. Previously did not have this problem at all with the f90bt, so this is hu related. I have a 5 channel amp running my fronts, rears, and sub. I've noticed sometimes when I turn the key to on, the hu will start. A couple seconds later I start the car, so the hu restarts it's startup sequence. When the audio starts, sometimes I'll have no sub audio. Or no audio at all. Or no rear and
  6. so after over a year, my f90bt is all of a sudden being super bad. it's run this whole time, no problems. it's upgraded to 3.0 or 3.1 (can't remember which) i drove the car last week and it was acting fine. when i started the car to put it in the garage, the unit never booted, and hasn't since. now the menu & map buttons light up, the unit sounds like it's starting up. the screen never displays anything, and after 20 seconds it shuts off. it doesn't reboot, just stays off. tonight i made a testmode sd card, and i can get it into testmode. so now i'm even more confused. i'm assuming som
  7. i have "my flash disk/user/userdata/igo/save" there's no "save and user" folder. and if i go into my flash disk/user/userdata/igo/save, there's a folder called "tracks" and some files but that's it
  8. what method/steps did you use to update to 3.0? i updated my f90bt, but my bluetooth isn't working, i'm looking for a fix. congrats on your smooth install
  9. so i updated my f90bt using the one sd card, with the 2 winCE files, testmode folder and my flash disk folder overwrite method. originally it kept failing the process at canada.poi so i erased that file (i'm in the u.s. anyway) on the sd card and tried again. it finally went through. now everything boots fine, no drama works great. i noticed the bluetooth wasn't connecting to my already previously paired iPhone 3gs, the bluetooth light wasn't coming on either. i tried to check it in the menu and no go. so i unpaired them and tried to start over, now the f90 says "searching" forever and my phon
  10. i'm sorry to hear it, i ordered mine up and got it in the car last night, i'm LOVING mine
  11. that's good to hear because i know people were talking about getting rid of their avic f's and going to kenwoods, so i'm glad to hear you're happy i'm glad to hear the problemns seem to be sorted because i relly want one of these units but i really didn't want to pay the money and then end up with something i'm not happy with
  12. i liked the cobra splash screens, thanks to whoever made them up... any more around? or maybe svt, or cobra and svt? i have an 03 cobra
  13. i've been watching this board for the last few months and the problems people have been having with these units (slow boot time, etc.) for awhile it seemed like the general consensus was that for the cost vs. problems it just wasn't worth it. now from what i read it sounds like 2.0 is making them work a lot better, and i'm just wondering from the folks that have them w/ 2.0, do you feel it's worth it now? if it is finally as good as it sounds with the new update then i think i'll take the dive and pick one up for my car feedback?
