I just upgraded my firmware to 1.10 and now the + or - volume button on unit doesn't make any difference. The volume is now stuck at level 6. WTH...anyone?

1) when the updated AVICSYNC is released end of the year would it work on Android phones? 2) I am assuming the protocol is wireless and doesn't need a cable hooked up to the unit to get it working? I have a 5000.

So I put my 32GB back with exFAT formatting and it gave the same error. Then I re-formatted the 32GB with FAT32 and now it works great.

I used a 32GB PNY microSD card and it works great. I moved all my music files to a Samsung 64GB microSD card and the unit says "unrecognized card" or something like that....

So when I receive text messages on my Galaxy S4, why doesn't the notification sound on my car speakers like it does on my Prius where I can reply and read text I received ? Right now only voice calls get picked up by 5000NEX...

where are you hooking 120Gb SSD, OCZ Vertex II in a USB-3 external case ? On USB 1? what do you have on drive? Music or video or both?

I have a cheap ebay microSD 32GB and it work great.

I had accidently set it to ON and I could see the backup camera every few seconds. Funny thing is my camera is supposed to be powered only in reverse but I guess the installer thought otherwise.. I kinda like this feature but every 7 second is too much...anyway to increase this time frame?

Is Carplay for iPhone or for Android devices too?

I tried the "tether" option but then I got stuck in the "FORMAT READ" display ...Nothing happened at all...

Its set to OTHERS ..connection via USB. Still I see the "Incompatible device" error. However I can play pandora if i set the radio input to Pandora.

Thanks for info. I did connect the USB to micro USB for my S4 but the unit said INCOMPATIBLE USB device. Can you point me to the Samsung car apps for Mirrorlink which is what may need to be used? PS: I tried DRIVELINK from THE DRIVE TEAM and it crashes on S4 when opening. I have read this is a common problem with DRIVELINK software Not sure when this will be fixed.
