  4. Sounds like you are correct, you have a bad unit. I would return it for another one or contact the manufacture since it should be under warranty?
  5. If I understood the above statement correctly, it sounds like when you installed it in the radio dash opening, it won't open or close properly but when you take it out (hold the entire unit in your hand for example), it opens and closes fine. That tells me that the opening you put it in is too tight or something is blocking, I had a similar issue where I had to go out and buy an entire new install kit (Metra I believe). As for the unit not taking a CD/DVD, try holding the unit in your hand (in other words, don't install it in the dash opening), and see if it opens and closes properly, if it do

  13. Worked for me here, thanks for the info
  14. As pulled from the instruction manual: When you burn a CD-R (-RW), make sure the total data size of the CD-R (-RW) is greater than 100MB by storing dummy data or other filler information. Otherwise, the disc may not be recognized by the built-in DVD drive. You cannot use a CD-R (-RW) containing MP3 files or Audio data (CD-DA part) for importing pictures. When storing pictures on a CD-R (-RW), create a folder named “Pictures†in the CDR (-RW), and store the picture files in this folder. (Up to 200 picture files can be used in total, including pictures that are already stored in the h
  15. They are both good units, I chose the Z1/2/3 because of the hard drive. If you don't care for that, then the Eclipse will do...
