thanks guys for your help but i called pioneer and it turns out i just had to change the antenna setting to power. they said it was a very common problem so if anyone is having the same problem heres your solution. Now you dont have to be on hold with pioneer for an hour.

i just installed the avic-z1 in my car but for some reason the cd player doesnt work. you can only hear the subs but nothing else. the radio and everything else is working fine this is just when u play a cd. Does anyone know if this problem is as easy to fix as to just changing a setting of would the unit possibly be bad? would this have anything to do with the july2006 bypass?

How do I get the avic-z1 to fit in my 2002 avalanche?
gilster85 replied to gilster85's topic in Vehicle Specific Wiring
I was told the 03 dash trim will not fit in my 2002 avalanche since the 03 has the dual climate control a/c control and its smaller than the ordinary a/c control piece in the 2002. And if i put the 03 trim on theres a small bar that would cover my a/c controls. Is this true? -

hi, i am trying to install the avic-z1 on my 2002 avalanche but im having trouble finding the speed detection circuit lead that comes from the fuel injection computer for the navigation system. Would it be one of the wires on the harnest that connects to the speedometer? if so does anybody know what color it would be. please help. Thanks, Danny
