  1. i have a 05 tC as well it looks really nice. Did the installer have any problems installing it because of the hood? And also...because of the hood...do you have no complaints about the brightness of the screen due to the area being slightly hooded
  2. yes i have. i think you both misunderstood the question. It seems that the units released have been released in very limited quantities. If i were to go to any local electronics (circuit city, best buy etc) or any car a/v stores...they do not have the f90bt's in, nor do they have a date which they will be available. They carry the d3's and the n4's...but no f-series. What i was asking was if the removal of the 'june 2008' sign was if it was suggesting that the f series was going to be widely available.
  3. on the beyond navigation screen on pioneerelectronics.com...the "June 2008" release sign is no longer there. Does this suggest that they are officially releasing them? Would anyone like to interpret what pioneer is suggesting by removing the "june 2008" from their site? it used to be in the bottom right corner...it would say "june 2008" http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/
  4. To what extent is this feature functional with the iPod. Im aware that there are some issues with dialing people using the bluetooth (can anyone beg to differ?) However, i'm more concerned with how this works with the iPod. What kind of phrasing can you use after you push that button?
  5. i've been wanting the f90bt...but these problems are turning me off can anybody attest to a nav system that has comparable features (dvd, decent navigation, ipod...voice commands would be a plus).... but actually has a useful bluetooth were the person at the other end isn't hassled by it.
  6. i am curious about what actually goes on when you bypass the unit. Why does removing the (mute?) wire and placing it in another spot bypass the unit. Also, why does grounding the parking break make the unit think that it is engaged? one more thing... are you sacrificing anything by rewiring the unit from what it normally would be?
  7. Did the other pioneer units (d ,n,z series) also have issues when they came out? If they did, did they take long to get fixed?
  8. i dont own the unit, but i think its very likely that you cannot change the 1 comma 8 thing. In Europe (and likely everywhere else besides the Western countries, when you write mileage etc....you write 1,8....they mostly dont use a decimal point.
  9. does anyone else support this idea? i think its a reasonable suggestion, although im very eager to buy it, especially since i think my dealer may be getting it this week. Based on the specs and features etc from the website, i think this unit (f90bt) is amazing...although if all the features dont work as advertised, it clearly detracts very much from the unit. As most, this is a pretty expensive purchase, and although im completely willing to shell out the 1400 or whatever for the unit and install and all that...im not able to afford to buy a crappy unit that im stuck with. I of course wouldn
  10. there have been a few threads mentioning the issues that people have had with their f series navs. Could those that have them mention positive things that they've noticed so far ( i.e accurate navigation, good display, good voice commands, etc) I've been looking forward for the f90bt for awhile, and Im basically cash-in-hand waiting to buy one. But i'm feeling a little apprehensive if the bluetooth feature isnt functional or if key features have issues. just wondering if any of the other features have held up.
  11. Forgot one, With the F700, i actually didn't notice what the price was because I wasn't interested in that unit. But when I asked him whether he will be selling the f90bt at MSRP or lower, he mentioned that it depends on various factors (demand, how many he's shipped, etc). So i suppose that they may be able to discount them. I'll let you know the price of the f700 tomorrow if the shop is open, or monday if they are closed for the weekend.
  12. today is friday the 6th, i'll call him tomorrow on saturday the 7th to answer those questions posted previous to this post. I'll answer what i know so far. Authorized Dealer Question. I'm under the impression he is an authorized dealer. He claims he's one of the larger receivers in my area (boca raton / south florida). I don't have documented proof of that claim, however I've known of that place for a long time and they are very reputable. Also, he's very knowledgeable on the F-series, while the employees at both Best Buy and Circuit City had no idea what I was talking about when I origi
  13. I've been shopping around looking for the f90bt, and most of the places i went to (i.e Best Buy, Circuit City, etc) barely knew anything about the new F-series or had any idea of when they'd be receiving. I finally decided to go to a larger non chain car shop in my area. This store already has the F700 in and he says he should be receiving the f90 and f900 the week of the 16th. I talked to him and he said that he's willing to ship it out to anyone who wants it. If you do contact them, I'd appreciate it if you'd mention that I recommended you. My name is Marat Kiselgof. Their conta
  14. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... AVIC-F90BT they still have their "Beyond Navigation" thing going with the teaser videos and whatnot...but at least they put up the page with the specs etc like you would see with the other models.
  15. is there any information on the size of the harddrive? and if any portion of it can be used to store mp3s?. I noticed many models from other manufacturers use a 30gb HD with 10gb available for mp3 storage.
