  1. I've had the same problem. I just shipped my Z-1 to pioneer for the second time for this same problem. When pioneer returned my unit the first time they did not indicate what the problem was. I have seen a few posts from people having this problems...
  2. I have an 06 Passat and it requires a can-bus adapter for the R.A.P. I think the Eos requires the same. As far as the VSS, this may also be in the can-bus, I know it is on the Passat. I didnt want to shell out the money for a can-bus adapter but I found the VSS output on pin 28 of the cluster. I dont know if the Eos electrical is anything like the Passat, but it may be similar.
  3. Mine was a June 06 unit, I got it back from Pioneer on Fri. and everything seems to be fine. Unfortunately they did not include a work order or anything so I don't know exactly what the problem was...
  4. Mine started to freeze up on the boot screen and it got the point I could not even preform a reset. I ended up sending it to pioneer for repair. I doubt it was heat related in my case, because it has been very cold in Northern California lately. I should get it back from pioneer today, hopefully they will indicate what the problem was.
  5. I had a great experiance with 6ave.com. I ordered the Z1 and the Bluetooth module, I placed my order over the phone on a Monday, the Z1 was shipped Tuesday and the Bluetooth kit shipped on Wednesday. Everything arrived timely and in perfect working order. Hopes this helps to ease your mind.
