  1. thank you ducati. i have 5 years exp and they keep telling me that i have the wrong vss wire. i will tell my friend to get the flash bypass, cause when he flashes his lights on bootup then it bypasses it. he just doesn't want to do that everytime. sportsfan i have read all the posts but your answer doesn't solve anything. you don't even attempt to answer my question.
  2. no offense guys but the Z1 is an electronic device made by a human. do you know how many times my computer messes up. next day is fine. these devices are made by humans and are not perfect even if it goes down a line with robotic machines run by computers with lasers and chips and all that crap small minute problems occur and are only visable in certain instances which you are explaining now. i work in electronic install retail and so many times people send their stuff in to get fixed and they are back a month or week later with a different or same problem. anyways just remember that nothing i
  3. if it was me i would take the dash trim out, order the cage and use backstraps as my frame. then just use some fiberglass to strengthen the backstraps so that the cage fits in perfect. to make it flush with the dash trim just use abs. cutt 1/4 pieces or what ever the measurements are on the gaps around the new unit when you put the dash trim back on. and hot glue these pieces to the dash trim. looks great and is easy.
  4. whats up doesn't anybody have an answer for my question?
  5. to me maybe sounds like a voltage problem. when a car battery is low on voltage you might be able to start your car. but it causes problems for aftermarket electronics. you get alot of variables and it is too complicated to do the math with all the ohms laws and crap. check voltage on your car batteries. sometimes you send too much or not enough to your units and they have problems. just my too cents but its one of those things that is hard to find and hard to see no matter what troubleshooting you do. if you call pioneer they will tell you the specs on what voltage is required for the unit to
  6. make sure that it is plugged in all the way. had the same problem with a xm device plug not all the way in. and only one side gets audio.
  7. direct techs says it is purple/red behind glove box at ECU pin 8. or on back of fuse box 4 pin plug pin 1. but the relay vid bypass that my friend bought only works for about 4 minutes then give me the cant view in front seat crap. the vid bypass is just a couple relays that give the unit ground on parking brake and cut the vss wire. to make the unit think that it isnt moving. i think that this will not work with the Z1 but the online dudes say i should have no problem with it. i have 5 years experience and the vss wire looks correct on the screen. question though does the speed pulse actually
