  1. yes it did. I had an avic N2 in there that was stolen. I replaced it with a Z2.
  2. I have a 2006 and it fits fine. There is about a 1/4 inch gap at the top. Wish there was a trim kit for it, and I have yet to find a 2DIN braket that will work so I made my own.
  3. Well it has now been 3 months and it has YET to learn a single route that I take. The system still uses what it thinks is the best route even though I have used another road over 30 times now. the Z2 does not LEARN from your habbits and should be removed from the FEATURE LIST
  4. Wow guys sorry I posted this question. I know its been discussed to death. What I was really asking is would anyone be up for a replacement program. I know there was talk of one but have not seen anything lately. It was just an attempt to get us thinking again. Again I applogize for the post
  5. Please Please Please Pioneer. Fix this software. Microsoft Streets and TRIPs (which btw only costs 100.00) is so much more superior than what the Z2 is doing. I have yet to have it learn anything. I take the same trip eveyr day and have had it for a month now and it still does not select my streets. It also does not recognize when you take an offramp when you have a route selcted, however when you are just in driving more, it does.. I wish sometimes the SNAP could be turned off. I wish also you could tell it to not use U-TURNS.. just find the best route in the direction of trave
  6. I have mine grounded too, and only have to answer OK to the 2 msgs. Still not sure why you would need to have a switch.
  7. ok I applogize up front. I'm not an expert. There was only a base radio in the suv when I got it, so I don't have a blue #6 wire on the cluster. Where else do you find it. If it's behind the dash, anyone know how to get to it ? The VSS HAS MOST DEFINATELY be hooked up from what I read to get you the accuracy of frontage roads vs the main highway.
  8. Anyone describe where to find this to a self installer? Thanks! Dan
  9. well I have taken the same route 17 times now and it still does not remember that I don't take the default road and turn on one before the indicated road? How do you tell if it's learning?
  10. Update.. Well I removed it from the windshield and moved it to the hood where it had a lot of metal, however it still looses the signal every now and then. I think I'm going to try a new antenna.
  11. I have yet to see the Z2 learn yet either. When the default route comes up, I always have to select route 2 or 3 which is closer to the one I drive. However when I drive it the next day it does not show up as a route, I have to select route 2 or 3 again. I thought that after 1 or 2 times that it would start listing YOUR route as the #2 or #1 route.
  12. I tried the dash of my pathfinder and got TERRIBLE reception so I moved it out to the windshield. 100% better.
  13. Interesting. I had mine origianlly under the dash just stuck to the top of the head unit but didn't know how the magnet would affect the head unit. So I moved it outside. I also thought this would increase the sat coverage. I am noticing a lot that it is loosing sats and I don't have my VSS hooked up so it is off quite a bit when it does not have sat lock. So does anyone know if having it sit on top of the head unit is a bad thing? I thought I read somewhere that if your windshield is dark that it can affect the signal?
  14. Is there any reason on the Z2 that the ebrake can't just be grounded? I grounded mine and it seems to work just fine when the car comes to a stop (all funcitions are available without having to use the stupid parking brake). I'm just wondering why you would need to put it on a toggle rather than just grounding it to a screw. Thanks!
