You could still have it bypassed such as I do in my wifes N2 solder the points. Now will the N3 Brain with a software update from my N3 give my wife N2 the capability of the N3. IE all of the new menu option especially for the Ipod?

you have to connect the points for it to work properly. Grounding only does not work on the n2 only the n1

also in the description on the upgrade for ebay he mentioned updating the PCB not the chip. I wonder if someone has any information or can get the new PCB and supplier for upgrades?

I know from a previous post that a microcontroller in the brain is different. There where not any other changes noticed between the two.

I have both an avic-n2 and an avic-n3. Now my question is if I take an avic-n3 brain and put it to an avic-n2 will I get the extra functionality of Ipod, XM, and Sirius? I have seen this on ebay and thought that it might work. and suggestions. I really would like to update my wifes car also. I need a copy of the east disc it was the only one that was stolen.

My car hath recently been borken into. They took my subs, Ipod, and all of my cds but left my AVIC-N3, :o). I did have the west disc in and unfortunatley they took my east disc. I was wondering if anyone could spare a backup for me. Let me know what you can do will reimburse :o) Thanks
