  1. i unplugged the steering wheel controls and it still restarts the songs/scans radio stations rapidly.... Can you elaborate on the relay part for the acc? is it the acc wire for the GMAH24B?
  2. My 2004 Silverado has the feature that keeps playing the music even after the key is taken out of the ignition and shuts off when one of the doors is opened. Now when I listen to a CD with the D3, it still lets me listen to music after taking the key out, but it restarts the song from the beginning.. And if I'm listening to the radio, it scans through my preset stations rapidly. I figured out that if I wanna get out of the truck and hop back in and continue the song from where I previously left off at, I have to first open my door, AND THEN turn the ignition off completely. This is th
  3. Ok I checked and everything seems to be wired correctly. This is actually my second gmos-04 interface. I had a perfectly fine one the first time and it everything ran fine but i opened it up to get better access the chime volume adjuster and accidentally knocked off a little black soldered part with "470" printed on it... I didn't wanna risk anything so i just ordered another interface. Now, with the exact same wiring, i swapped just the interface and its ALWAYS on. I swapped the old interface back in and it only turns on when i turn the key so i'm guessing the "new" interface is the prob
  4. Wait what? The gmos-04 interface instructions tell me to connect the red wire to the radio's acc wire and thats what i did.
  5. hmm.. i'll go check again real quick and get back to ya
  6. where did you wire the red wire? it sounds like its coming in contact with the yellow wire or another constant power source...make sure its wired to the accessory wire on the OEM harness The red wire is connected to the red wire on the gmos-04 harness.. Is it supposed to be connected to the stock harness?
  7. I just installed my D3 and it is ALWAYS on! Even when i take the key out of the ignition, it stays on. I don't wanna drain the battery and the only way to turn it off is to disconnect the battery. What could cause this to happen and what should I start looking at first? Oh by the way i have the ipod and bluetooth connected to the head unit if that matters... Thanks[/u]
  8. Ok thanks guys. Also, I was driving and played a movie a while ago to test the bypass and it worked for a few minutes then gave me a warning about the brake wire not being connected properly. I just grounded the brake wire and and didn't connect it to the trucks ebrake wire. Is this that right or must i connect it to the trucks ebrake also?
  9. My Metra GMOS-04 Instructions tell me to connect the mute (brown) wire to the yellow/black mute wire of the D3. Do i still do this if i'm doing the bypass? It also says to connect the gmos-04 green wire to the D3 brake wire. Do this too if bypassing or no? Also, the gmos-04 harness has the blue/pink vss and green/purple reverse wires already so does that mean i can just directly connect it to the corresponding wires from D3 or do i still have to tap into the trucks vss and reverse wires? My truck is an 04 Chevy Silverado with Bose & Onstar Thank You.
  10. wait so if I'm bypassing, i dont connect the green wire to the e brake? so do i just use the provided wire tap to ground it?
