Do your steering wheel controls work properly?

I followed the instructions to a T and go the buttons to show up (mute and compass) but they don't do anything. Neither of them. Any ideas? (v.2 w/ F90BT)

Thanks! I was finally able to get it to work after a re-calibration. I didn't know to use the stylus either as I never got one.

I'm trying to "hack" it for the first time with ONLY the two folders on an SD card. I copied the files to a formatted (FAT32) SD card and stuck it in my F90BT only to see the copy screen pop up, the progress bar complete, the pop-up went away but was then replaced by a green box. I couldn't click the X in the upper, right-hand corner either. Everything went un-clickable. I was able to get to the START button _once_ and then click on Explorer but then everything went green. Anyone??? (BRAND new F90BT with 2.0)

If I wanted to create some icons like the ones I'm seeing on here, how would I go about it? More specifically... What are the icon sizes and DPI? Where are they located on the deck/DATA.ZIP so I can back them up? Once I've created the icons, what's a .Rez file? I'm a Mac user and an Art Director by trade. Any help would be, well, helpful! THANKS!!

Can anyone point me in the direction of a step-by-step directions (like Stephanie did for the beep removal) when it comes to applying these themes? THANKS! (Mac user here, never used a PC)

Accurate advice from Best Buy or Circuit City... ? I haven't experienced that yet. The reason I asked those blunt questions was because after searching this forum (and the rest of the internet) I just seemed to get confused. Thanks to people on this forum, I was able to order all the parts I needed and learned WHY I needed them, too. Now I need to find a manual on how to do this along with the things to watch out for in my VW GTI Wanna help with that one or should I go to Best Buy?

Actually, I see the F900BT is the same $625 price on Amazon... Should I just get that and add on the iPod adaptor for $37? What else would I be missing?

What gives!?? I loaded up my cart on Saturday for the F90BT and the accessories but didn't pull the trigger until I knew for SURE I had everything I'd need to do this successfully and today.... The F90BT went from $634 to $1199 on Amazon.com!!!! ARGGGGGGG! Well, I'm out. Thanks for everyone's advice on here but that's too rich for my blood.

I'm looking to order the F90BT head unit for my 08 GTI... What all do I need to GET besides the head unit? What do I need to KNOW before I try and install it? What do I need to get the iPhone 3G to charge/play music & movies? THANKS!!!
