  1. unzip program did not unzip files properly. re-did it on new sd card and it worked like gangbusters.
  2. does the z3 tell you what side of the road your destination is?

    New Z?

i'm sorry. brain fart. would take a new version of the p-7800 and seperate garmin or new z series if gps directions were better than the f series. by the way, does the z-series tell you what side of the road your destination is on when you arrive?

    New Z?

i have a f700, which i bought to fiddle with until the z series began using a 7" wvga screen and built in bluetooth. hopefully that will be this year. would be willing to buy seperate garmin for navi.
  5. i got a sandisk 4 gb micro sdhc. going to buy another card tomorrow and see if that works. if not i will assume the sd card slot is screwed. navigation directions are way off anyway will probably ditch it for a kenwood or pioneer without built in navi in a couple of months anyway. unless updated maps appear quickly and send me to the right spot instead of a mile away. may even get a seperate garmin.
  6. i started from scratch 6 times. no results. the files are exactly the way the instructions show. i put music only on the sd card and the icon does not light up. the unit came with the first update installed on it when i bought it in august.
  7. talked to pioneer. they said since the sd card icon is not lit up it means that the unit is not recognizing the card.
  8. Can you use a micro sd card with an adapter to do the update with. The card is formatted as Fat 32 and I can see the files on there on my computer, but when I put it in my f700 and turn it on it just runs like normal. I ordered a card from pioneer but it is backorded. Tired of waiting.
  9. I have had my F700 for a few weeks. I live in South Arkansas and have tested it in Magnolia, Texarkana, and Little Rock. Using both POI's and addresses the unit seems to put the destinations anywhere from a few hundred feet to a mile away from the actual destination about 75 % of the time. The gps knows where I am and is very accurate, but the destinations are way off. Anybody else have this problem?
