  1. The road signs fix works beautifully... Thank you so much! There is only one thing I notice functionality wise that is missing vs stock data.zip In the original firmware when searching for a poi it gave the option of adding it as a via point. In this mod the only way to navigate to a poi is to make it a new destination. Adding say a gas station along a route during a road trip is pain if you can't add a via point easily. Oh and also one of the best features of the other mod I was using is the ability to mute the voice guidance with a button on the map screen. Any chance something like
  2. I'll give it a test tonight when I have a chance to install it and I'll let you know...
  3. But they help you to drive. Your usual map doesn't do this for you So, still I'm not sure if it is a good idea to remove it. But we may think about a setting for it like "Show"/"Do not show"/"Do not show while not navigating" You may try the changes from the attached file That would be the perfect solution... That is probably the only thing keeping me from using this mod full time. You should make this mod drink-ware... Coding for beer money
  4. is it a bug or a feature? I'm not sure can you pls give some cons against having it? Alot of the time if I have the map up while not navigating I'm using like an old fashioned map. Just keeping on eye on upcoming streets and such. Having the giant roadsigns on the screen all the time makes the map completely useless for this.
  5. I'm having a few issues with the 3.0 version of this mod... First, the clock doesn't fit inside the box it sticks out by maybe 20 pixels to the right. Second, roadsigns are present even when not navigating. The third i'm not sure if its a problem or a setting I missed but I can't turn off the box to the left while not navigating. Any help on these would be greatly appreciated... Other than these little issues seems to be a really great mod!

    Street labels

I don't have mine perfected yet so I won't post it but if you want to try editing it the color3d.ini is in My Flash Disk -> APL2 -> iGO -> Content -> Schemes then whichever scheme file you are using. Make sure to remember to edit both your day and night scheme.

    Street labels

I wonder what would happen if someone just took out the color3d.ini? Anyway, its not perfect... After driving around a bit I noticed it will draw the names near my location but not farther out. So what needs to be found is the value that controls that aspect of the name drawing. Since I don't have anymore time to tinker this week I may throw this question out into an iGo forum and see what I get back. Unless someone here can figure out what lower/upper bound and lower/upper value actually mean in context with the different modes.

    Street labels

The mode change seems to be the important part... I changed the mode for all the roads to 0 (zoomlevel based) then screwed with the numbers to find something that worked. After about 5 minutes of tinkering this is what I came up with that worked. [clip_planes] ; mode, lower bound, upper bound, lower value, upper Value ; mode: 0: zoomlevel alapjan interpolal, 1: megjelenitendo cellak szama alapjan, 2 a camera iranyvektora alapjan ; a value-k ezerszereset kell beirni (0.1 helyett 100-at) faded_buildings_near = 0, 10, 200, 600, 600 faded_buildings_medium = 0, 10, 200, 650, 650 faded_b
  9. Only problem I've seen is with the included speedcam updates. All of them are set to type 7 with 70 mph speed limit, even the redlight cameras.Redlight cameras are an easy fix (change type 7 to type 3) but without a valid speedlimit the speed cameras arent that useful.
  10. Just set the Smart Zoom to be lower in the Navigation Settings. Shouldn't have to do that... thats not how iGo 8.0 treated 3d. It displayed street names fine in 3D
  11. You don't have to go into testmode just put the text file on your SD Card in \poi\speedcam. Creating a trapster file really easily from the database a couple of replace all commands and you have a new database file.
  12. #3 wrong... the 710 910 both have amp outputs. 3 to be exact front, rear, and subwoofer. The difference is output voltages on these but unless your planning a show car or you're using some really cheap RCA cables in a long cable run voltage doesn't make much of a difference. edit: take that back... the voltages are the same on the new models so there is no difference on the preamp outs. For video though if your not using an ipod or some other device connect to either of the aux ins the 910 or the z series is the only way to go. I have never been able to get acceptable video quality ou
  13. This seems to be a distance problem... If you zoom in the names are there or tilt and the names are there. Any of the expert data.zip editors know where a setting for the distance to draw street labels would reside?
  14. You must have been the guy I was getting 8Mbit from... lol I never had a torrent max out out my 12mbit DSL before. Thanks for seeding!
  15. Dunno about 1 but 2 I fixed. Download the 3.01 update from pioneers website and apply the color schemes from that update. They are located in APL2 -> IGO -> CONTENT -> SCHEMES. The SD MP3 thing may be solved by applying the APL folder from the same 3.01 update.
