  1. I just tried this and when I copied the files from the SD card to the flash disk, it only took about 4-5 minutes. Now when I rebooted it, the pioneer logo stays on for a few minutes, and then everything goes black, including the backlight for the buttons. This isn't my first mod on this, and everything looks the same as the pictures in the instruction, so I'm wondering if the files I dloaded are missing something? The file size for the folder to be copied to the my flash disk is 1.79 GB. Anyone know what may have gone wrong? EDIT: I figured it out. I recopied the files to the SD c
  2. The installer did a custom fiberglass install for me which makes it impossible for me to take it out. When this unit was in my WRX, it was really easy for me to get to because it fit in easily. I had the hardware mod done when it was in that car but he had to do a custom wiring harness which makes it impossible to to the hardware bypass. The installer claims that the radio wouldn't even work if the ground wire wasn't hooked up correctly so he refuses to take it out to check the wire. He claims that everything is software based with this problem. Did I possibly miss a step in the soft
  3. Hello there, I have recently updated to firmware 3.01 to try to fix an issue I was having. All of a sudden, my software bypass stopped working to where I am no longer able to watch video or edit settings and/or GPS locations. I called the guy that installed it for me a while back and asked how he grounded it because it keeps saying the parking break is not connected. He claims that he hooked it up to a ground and that its a software issue according to his pioneer rep. This is what made me update to 3.0 firmware, which I purchased to fix the issue. I still wasnt able to get it to
  4. Thanks for your reply. That is what I told the installer and he replied back to me that he knows for a fact that the parking brake wire is grounded because if it was not then the radio wouldn't even work. Also, what would have caused this to happen? It was working for about a month then all of a sudden it just stopped working?
  5. I called the guy that installed my AVIC and he says that he hooked the parking brake wire up to a resistor or something like that. I told him the problems I was having and he says that it can't be the wire and that its a software issue. I purchased and installed the 3.0 Firmware and I still have the same issue. This tells me that it is not in fact a software issue. I cannot watch video or change my GPS settings or input an address to the GPS at all even while completely stopped with the E-Brake on! I have even done the software mod by changing the parking brake speed in the configure.ini
  6. Worked great for me! However, I do have an issue. The reason I did this was because ever since Daylight Savings time hit, I have been unable to enter an address for the GPS, change the navigation settings, or change the system settings. I called the guy that did my install, and he says that everything should be fine because he hooked the parking brake wire up to a ground. He said it was a software issue. I did this update, officially have 3.0 (bye bye mods ) and still have the same problem. Anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this and how to fix it? I am assuming it is just th
  7. Ever since the time change on Nov. 1st, I have been unable to input a destination or edit the settings of my Navigation. I can still change radio stations, look at the map, and see POI, but I cannot enter an address and the first two sections of the settings menu are greyed out even when at a stand still. Any ideasa?
  8. I have the climate control with automatic HVAC. I have looked all over the legacygt forums and they are working on a setup for it, but it costs waaay to much to worry about it. Im just waiting and hoping that someday they might come up with something to make it work. thanks for the tips! chris
  9. I was just wondering if anyone on here has been able to install their F-series in a 2008 Legacy GT Limited. I just got one the other day and there are no kit that I have been able to find to install it in the cubby between the vents. Hopefully someone out there can help so that I dont have to sell my gps

  11. ok can you walk me through it Is that what you meant to do? Then yes I will. When the time comes send me a PM and I'll give you a step by step for what you need. How about you make a thread with this fix? That will save you some time if multiple people are interested in the fix I know I am!
  12. are there any plans for fixes or firmware upgrades to fix the issue so that first gen ipod touches with the 2.1 firmware will be able to be used at least for audio???
  13. noob question here....I just hooked up the Speed-sensor wire and the back-up light wire. I dont notice any difference from when I was driving around without those wires hooked up. what do these wires really do to the unit as far as information? does it really make that big of a difference? I went about 2 weeks without hooking them up and everything seemed to work fine for me. any input?
