  1. hey guys, i'm wondering if there is a way to get the announcer to mute by default. i assume i need to throw the call to run sc_mute_guidance_immediately in somewhere in the code... but where? everything i've seen in this thread is triggered from button presses. i want to invoke code when the navigation starts. thanks for reading.
  2. I don't agree with that statement. That is like saying having two fm antennas next to each other is "stealing" the signal" its just not possible. I have the XM and the sat nav antennas right next to each other touching in the back window. Zero problems with signal strength on either, unless of course the sky is being blocked by a tree or building. Unless you actually placed on on top of each other, thereby blocking it from the signal, odds are something was under the dash in that particular spot or something. Too many variables but saying two of the antennas right next to each other "
  3. i've tried resetting the unit by pushing the little button . i think i read somewhere that you can do a different kind of reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes , but i haven't tried that . the gps antenna hasn't moved from its original position , so i don't see how that could be the problem all of a sudden , and according to the unit , all the connections are intact .
  4. hi . this is my first post here . i searched existing threads but didn't find any answers to my problem . i recently bought a car which has the AVIC-80DVD installed , with an AVH-P7500DVD display unit attached . the device plays music just fine , but i'm not able to use the GPS at all . the map displays but the car's position on the map does not update as the car moves . I looked in the operation manual under "checking the navigation status" and it shows to check position information by choosing "Information" in the main menu , and then "Location Status" and "GPS Status" , but these me
