  1. I am keeping an eye on this topic. I am really reallllllly itching for a new update. Or a complete recall would be super nice.
  2. Geez, I hope 128MPH is fast enough for watching movies
  3. One is not better than the other unless you plan on watching movies at 128 MPH hehe. But, I would say the hardware one is certainly faster to implement.
  4. Thats what I figured... everyone here who has an F series should have at least the above problems. Occasionally if I get impatient and start pushing buttons when its booting or locked up after a call, it can freeze or reboot, but that is not repeatable. At any rate, I would be amazed if someone really had a perfect unit. I would not believe that claim (perfect is in the eye of the beholder I suppose)
  5. Well I suppose it is alright if I only listened to AM/FM/XM and did not want to change the channel for 50 seconds or so. Also, a HUGE selling point for me was that the AVIC F could play SD (I also bought a 16Gb SD card) Also, to the OP, is is still flawless? How about if someone calls you, and they hang up before you can press the red disconnect button? Does it hang for a minute or so? Does your ipod NEVER disconnect for no reason? How about SD card playback, does it load immediately or does it take a minute? Does your reverse camera work right away or does it take 6+ seco
  6. Oh boy, I am biting my tongue. But the fun I could have with this thread. BTW Please PM and let me know how much you got for it.
  7. Did you read what you wrote???? What a fucking idiot. IT HAS PROBLEMS! IT'S DEFECTIVE!!! Just because all others have them doesn't make it right for God's sake. By your reasoning, if most the Chevy Malibus made just up and died going down the road, it's ok because they all do it. But hey...if you can sleep at night...more power to you. But if you sell it to someone who gives a shit, grab your ass because you will find out in a heartbeat that what you committed was fraud if you advertised it as a good unit. But hey...don't take my word for it...go for it! Maybe I'll be the one who b
  8. Hhaha thanks for that laugh this morning.
  9. Thanks for helping. Hes just trying to get a rise out of me (it worked a bit hehe).
  10. I'm sorry...but that's a defective unit and you damn well know it. So you're saying that you would sell it like that, and when the buyer complained, you would not refund the money, you would tell him that's normal and to live with it??? Right. Do you really believe that??? If that's the way every one worked...it's not...and Pioneer advertised it that way...they don't... then I would agree it's not defective. Yes it is normal for this unit. My unit is NOT defective, or else I would have Pioneer repair/replace it! Are you dense? I can tell you are just trying to get my goat so I
  11. I paid over 1200 bucks for what I put on ebay. Maybe prices have dropped since then but I didnt know how much. And if so its because the AVIC-F series sucks. And I *NEVER* said defective. You clearly did not read. Also, mine has the same problems everyone else has, so its *NOT* a defective unit. If I sent it in for warranty the replacement unit would be just as problematic. Also mine came with a 16GB SD card and a 150 dollar reverse camera. Why don't you read some other threads before making such comments? You explain to me how *MY* unit was defective and then I will admi
  12. So you've got a defective unit and you're going to pawn it off at full boat on some poor unsuspecting buyer on eBay. You know that lawsuit you mentioned?? I hope like hell whoever buys your unit finds this thread and sues your butt good. What a nice guy. Sorry guys...I couldn't help it. That's just so wrong. Its not defective. If it is, then ALL of them are defective. AND I would have (and may still if I put it back up) take a huge loss on the sale. Probably 300-500 bucks loss. AND there are plenty of reviews out there now, many of which are mine, talking about how the m
  13. I hate to start an argument but I this is one of those things that really grinds my gears because people don't understand electricity. DC current does not produce a field of electromagnetic energy around the wire, so it is entirely moot to run power on a seperate side as the audio for purposes of eliminating radiated interference. The only reasons you should do that is if you just don't have enough room or you're anal retentive and want to keep it seperate. Whichever the case may be, it does not have any whining or otherwise effect on the audio. [/soapbox] Audio is not DC, it fluct
  14. Most phones do connect without problem. It's mostly BB's (and other smart phones) and iPhones that the unit has problems with. By the way, the problem with the connect was duplicate entries. That does not sound like a BB problem, I think the bug is in Pioneers court. That's exactly what I said. Sorry if I came off sounding like I was arguing with you. I was just pointing out the solution.

  16. I still really hate this unit. My TTS got all screwed up, and somehow magically is set to Russian. When I try to fix it, it crashes and reboots. When I turn off the car, it never disconnects my BB, and I have to punch all kinds of buttons. I disconnects my ipod constantly. If I am on a call, then a start the car.... after FIVE MINUTES, the bluetooth connects and ruins my call. It doesnt pop up on speaker, it just goes mute. I have to quickly turn set the phone back to normal mode. I cant do this while driving. Where is this new fix?
  17. True, until we can find an easier WinCE bootup method. I tried decompiling the test mode files, but cannot since they were compiled as WinCE apps. They cannot be difficult programs to work with. Maybe we could even make our own. It just takes time...
  18. I replaced mine as well, and I have noticed it to be a little faster, but not quite as fast as it should be.
  19. I still wish I had not bought mine, so I can't recommend you keep it. But that's me, some people here really like theirs.
  20. I could be wrong but I believe the scripts are interpeted by the actual programs (MainMenu.exe, av.exe, etc). They dont allow for execution of a new process (explorer.exe). But like I said i could be wrong.
  21. LOL thats cool I found it another way. Thank you!
  22. Actually, it didnt work for me, it has the contents of Testmode folder, but you need the Miticap (or whatever ) as well.
