  1. I was having the problem with the left channel cutting out, replaced the pioneer cable with the apple composite cables and have had zero problems, as a bonus it does not take a c clamp to plug the ipod cable in anymore
  2. can you please tell us what maps you have? 2008.10 or newer?
  3. Apple dropped the price from $599 to $399. Not to $199. They gave them back half the difference as a credit.
  4. damn, i thought i did it correctly. ill have to try it again.
  5. I have an F700 and installed the 3.00 update from the x910 and its all working great. But now how do i update to the 3.01 that pioneer has up. I put the folder in their zip file on the root of an sd card and booted up but it did not update. Do i have to manually install it somehow?
  6. how do i update from 3.0003 to the 3.01? i put the files on a memory card and put it in but it doesn't do anything, do we have to manually copy stuff over?
  7. on step 2, you have to let go of reset first, and then you will hear the pop. then release eject. otherwise you only get 10 seconds in the service menu before it powers off.
  8. Working great. Thanks guys. edit: holy shit 3.0 is amazingly fast and so much clearer with the new colors and layout
  9. Bestbuy called me this morning to let me know there was an update lol.
  10. Wow, So much faster. Didn't have a zero iphone3g disconnect during the drive home. Before was getting atleast one per trip. edit: also looks like the bluebox fix is built in to the new update.
  11. for what purpose? to use a European unit in the states? The European units have newer firmware than the US units.
  12. Uhhhhh...what? iPods at that time had all switched to USB charging. And Apple changed whatever lead it was using to charge the newest iPods...for some stupid reason. They still supported firewire charging (not syncing) which is what changed, new ipods and iphone 3g do not support firewire charging.
  13. When the d3 was made all ipods supported 12v firewire charging. So thats what pioneer made the cable charge using the 12v firewire leads since there is no conversion needed. New ipods/iphones only support usb charging now so there is your problem. People are apparently making adapters, and i know kensington has a passthrough that charges via a usb connector.
  14. Getting to the service menu and these steps are exactly like the D1 pretty much. You will have to have the remote and one of your original discs. The numbers on the remote work like a 4 way dpad when navigating. The 5 key works as enter in some menus, in some menus the 7 key did the job i think, and in some menus 1 was Back instead of 4 i think. I could be wrong about these but you shouldn't mess anything up pressing the wrong one. Service Menu 1. Hold eject and reset at same time, release reset button once screen blanks out. Do not release eject button yet. 2. Screen will say "plea
  15. Can we install this on American systems without issue?
