Is there a way to upgrade a Z140 to the 2013 maps without the iPhone5 update? I have a 4S and dont plan on the 5 so all I want is the map update, sounds like the i5 update messes a bunch of stuff up.

I have the same question, anyone try this with the Z140?

It may have been an app radio 2, I could tell it was a 7" screen.

Yes It is in app mode, that is the Waze app but that menu wasn't there at first. I thought that maybe it was there an I just didn't notice it but After looking around on YouTube at demos of that app there is clearly no menu on the right side.

I have a recently installed Z140, The issue I am having is for some reason a menu on the right side of my screen appeared and I cant for the life of me figure out how to remove it, It wasnt there in the beginning but now it is, the problem is it reduces the size of the app display and leaves a boarders on top and the image on the screen isnt as good. Yes, I even did a factory reset and it's still there..

Does this work with the AVIC-Z140 too or just one of the AppRadio head units?

Thanks.. Found that wire and tapped into it, doesnt seem to be it, maybe because it's a cargo van (except stripped chassis models). The search continues.

Im going to be installing a Z140 in my van and wanted to know if anyone here knows the location/color code of the VSS and Reverse wires on it? Or where I can find such information, I dont mind spending a few $$ for the info but dont need a $70 manual... thanks!

I just sent mine in for the ribbon cable upgrade and it took about 2 weeks to get mine back. I was a bit concerned because I have a N1 with the bypass mod on the motherboard (solder jumper wire) and I really did not expect them to even do it. I got it back fixed and my mod was still working and they fixed the cable issue. I was getting preped to buy a new unit!

Wondering if the N2 N3 head unit work with a N1 brain. thanks
