  1. Can you tell me where that setting is? I'm having the same issue and I just couldn't find it.
  2. I use Carplay a lot more then I do AppRadio. My experience with AppRadio was disappointing at best. For the most part, most if the apps you can use with AppRadio you have to buy. AppRadio Live is pretty good and the Car Media Player is pretty good. I had Inrix. That was nice but then they updated the software and it stopped working with AppRadio. I was looking and maybe buying the iGo software but when you go to the link to get the software they said there is a new version of the software coming and to not but the current version. It just doesnt seem like AppRadio is catching on and it
  3. I have a NEX 4100. I was just curious if anyone else was having issues since updating to IOS9.3. Carplay works great. But since the update, AppRadio stopped working. Aha radio works but the menus don't come up. So I cant change the station through the car stereo. Pandora works through Carplay but if I didn't use Carplay, it has the same issue as Aha radio. AppRadio connects and it prompts on the phone asking if I will allow the receiver to control the device. I say "Allow" but eventually it asks me to either start up AppRadio manually or start up an AppRadio compatible app. So far, no
  4. I contacted Pioneer and they said it is a known issue with Waze 4.2. Pioneer said they have contacted Waze and informed the of the issue and hopefully when Waze gets an update that will fix the issue.
  5. I apologize if the answer was posted some where else. But I just couldn't find it. I got a 4100nex last weekend. I got the AppRadio app. I have my iphone connected to the unit using the digital av adapter and Bluetooth. I am trying to use Waze. But the touch screen part just doesn't work. I get the app to appear on the screen but I cant do anything. I removed and reinstalled Waze. When I tried to use it again, I did get a prompt from Waze on my phone asking if I wanted to control Waze from the radio. I said "Yes" but it just kept asking me over and over. I closed the app and ope
  6. I called Pioneer yesterday just to see what they would say. They did acknowledge the issue and said their engineers are working on it. But they couldn't tell me that they would able to fix the issue. It sounded like it was possible that as far as using video with an ipod that has IOS 5. They may be out of luck. The guy on the phone actually suggested that I jailbreak my ipod touch and downgrade the firmware. I wasn't expecting that response.
  7. I am having the same issue and unfortunately I am not sure there is a fix for it. I have the same 160GB ipod. I can't remember where I heard this but that ipod requires a little more power. I took 3 other ipods (80gb, iphone and nano)and none of them had any issues. And the ipod I have works great when connecting to anything else. It just has issues with the Pioneer unit. I can also tell you that I also bought an Apple cable to replace the cable that came with the unit. And it was actually worse for me. I know a lot of people here say it works better but I can tell you that wasn't t
  8. I am curious if anyone else has been having these issues. It has been getting progressively worse. I think I may need to delete a "cache" type folder. But that is just a guess. I have basically started to consistently have three issues. The first two issues were something that used to happen every now and then. Now it happened every time I turn it on. 1. Boots to the three button screen no matter what. After it boot I can pop in a cd or connect an ipod and you hear the beep when it switches the audio input but it stays at the home screen. I can go in and select the input and all of
  9. I had a strange problem. I have an F90BT. Yesterday I updated my iphone 3GS and I had no problems connecting it to the cable and bluetooth. Today I connected it and it saw the iphone. It saw the songs and playlists but it just wouldnt play anything. I had to shutdown the iphone and reboot it. That seem to get it working. I am not sure what caused it. Dave
  10. I have always been able to play MP4 files on USB and SD. I remember playing from USB was the worse of the two. Playing from an SD card seem to work but it took a very long time to start and it seemed to affect the performance of the whole unit. When I converted an AVI file to MP4 I usually use Videora's Ipod convertor and that seem to do the job. I was also able to play AVI DIVX files from both SD and USB after I followed the intructions in the following link. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4950&p=33774&hilit=divx+avic+exe#p33774 While it worked and it just it ran a lot better
  11. I installed the update I bought I Pioneer and so far it has been nice. I was having a problem with my iPod disconnecting from the unit before and that still has not been resolved. Other than that I have had no issues after the update. It seems more responsive to touch. The annoying beep has changed. Even the MSN stuff seems to download faster that what I had before. Overall I am happy with the update. Dave
  12. Unfortunately I am also having that issue. My iPod randomly disconnects when play music or a video. Pioneer was no help. I wound up buying a couple of cables so I can plug in my iPod into the aux2 port in the front of unit. I have replaced the iPod cable from Pioneer with the Apple iPod cable but in my case it made the problem worse. I put the original cable back on and while it still happens. It doesn't happen as much as with the Apple cable. I am convince it is a software issue. But when I talked with Pioneer they say it is the iPod. And when I talked with Apple, they say it is the
  13. I would feel a little bit better if the site said exactly what the update does. Right now it doesn't say anything. It just has a picture of two sd cards. It's possible that the firmware update is only to accommodate the new maps. Has anyone talked with Pioneer about what exactly this is? Dave
  14. I had the same issue. I turned off the POI icon for the map but they were still there. I reset the unit and the problem went away. Dave
