  1. I have a PS2 hooked up to my AVIC 9. There were issues in the beginning with static/wrong channel looking noise. This was solved by placing a sort of "grouding" wire on each of the RCA inputs to make contact with the brain of the unit. I am not sure if this will help on the D2.. but it's worth a try.. I will try to get some pics up explaining what I mean later. It involves a small piece of 22ga or smaller wire (insulated with ends stripped) that you kind of place on the RCA female as you plug the male in.. so that it hangs out, then taping the end (stripped again) to the body of the
  2. The PCMCIA slot can be used to upload backgrounds, I put them in a directory called "BG" and makes sure they are appropriate Pioneer size (see backgrounds section in this forum). They cannot be animated. It can also be used to store addresses. Buy a cheap ass CF card and adapter on Ebay to do that. Bzz

  4. I have an AVIC-9 hooked up with my AVH-P6500DVD. Works fine.
  5. Odd, I had that same issue when I put in my cndv-40 discs in my AVIC-9. It turns out it was looking for the touch screen connection. I did that same error on my test bench but once I integrated it in the car, it worked (this is a few years back, my memory is blurry). Try that and see if it resolves your problem. Install it using the proper cables (non RCA if I remember) and it should work with the cndv40. Bzzliteyr
