Apparently not because they will ask for your unit's serial number and the update will only work with that serial number. People have been able to get 3.0 on their F series by "other" methods. A simple check to the F series hack forum will show this.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I went a few pages back and didn't come across it. So we know this update will be tied to your own navigation unit, but is that only for the map updates? Will the 3.0 firmware be able to be "acquired" in other ways so that at least we can get the firmware update if we don't need the maps? Thanks.

Hey guys, I posted my Sirius problem in the Sirius forum. My display is stuck on Updating and I have tried numerous things to get it to work, including power cycles and getting customer support to re-send the update several times. Ihave been reading through a few forums and an idea came to me. Does the AVIC-F700BT cache anything for sirius or anything else? Could there maybe be something going on with the HU? If I hit the reset button on the unit, will it clear out any cache and settings? Maybe I need to do a factory reset and then maybe the update can come through... Thoughts? Is ther

Hello everyone, First off, what I have: - 2006 Pontiac Pursuit (Canada) - Pioneer AVIC-F700BT head-unit - Sirius SC-C1 universal tuner - Pioneer CD-SB10 to connect sirius tuner to Pioneer head-unit. So I installed this back in Aug 08 and everything was working fine. A few months ago I take my car in to get my front windshield replaced and ever since then, the display has been stuck on UPDATING and I cannot fix it. Not sure why it suddenly happened then. I hope there's some major improvements with V2.0. I don't think it would be as simple as copying back over the data.zip after the update because there may be some new stuff in the data.zip that is needed. Is it pretty much a given that all mods will have to be redone after V2.0?

lol, i was waiting for that response. It's what I'll ultimately do if I don't get a response. I am at work right now and was checking out the InvisibleSHIELD website and was curious if anyone knew the specs off hand. If no one posts here before I get a chance to measure, I will report my findings.

I haven't heard of being able to memorize artist name, that would be awesome! I don't think it has to do with the SC-C1 as that is just a tuner. I think it depends on the SiriusConnectAdaptor you have. I got the CD-SB10 and tried to do a memo once and i think it stored the song. I haven't played with it much cuz I assumed it worked the same as my old Starmate (can only memo the song, not the artist). Hopefully this is capable though.

Hey guys, Have had the F700 for a few days and am really liking it. There is one problem that is fairly annoying. It's with playing music from the SD cards and the system not treating it the same it would an audio cd. First of all, if the system booted up to FM radio or Sirius radio, music plays within seconds. With playing music off the SD card, it seems to start playing music once the system has fully booted up (30-60 seconds). Is this normal for everyone else? Just making sure there are no problems with the SD card or the pioneer unit. I have a regular SanDisk 2GB SD card formatted

Hi, I am planning on getting the F700BT and will be getting sirius with it. I've read elsewhere that not all the data appears on the screen at once. I have an old Sirius reciever and it will display channel #, name, artist, song title. Does the F700BT display the artist and title on the same screen? Does it matter which tuner you use? I will probably get the SC-C1 and CD-SB10 combo. If anyone can answer this and even post pics/video, that would be great! Thanks!
