  1. yes, it works. it was the fact that I didn't have anything on there. I thought at the least it would just recognize it and show no music to play but, whatever. Long as it works I am happy. However, it cuts out on the left side a LOT more then my iPod touch ever did. I have to reconnect it several times on just one trip to work. What's up with that? Anyone else with that issue? I have heard of it happening to others, but its a lot for me. Any work around for it? Thanks again to all that have posted, been a great help!
  2. believe it or not I haven't even added music to my phone yet. I am begining to think its that. Haven't had a moment yet, but I am guessing if there is no music on the iPhone, it will not show up as a device. Lets hope I am right. Cause my iPod works fine.
  3. Your running the 2.2.1 update? If so then, maybe I missed something. But, I will check it again on my way home. Thanks for the input
  4. Thanks for the responses! However, it actually doesn't work. When you go to audio soures (FM AM, CD, ect). the iPod icon is not there. Its greyed out and all I can use is the AV1 source to play music thru. Which means i have to use the iPhone to make selections ect. Yes this does work, but not the way it should be working. I just got off the phone with Pioneer, and of course they say its the update that broke it again. Are you guys running the latest iPhone firmware of 2.2.1? Cause if it is working fine for you guys maybe I am missing something. Thanks again!
  5. I have the latest firmware on the F700. It worked fine with my iPod Touch with the 2.2 update (I believe its 2.2). However, I can't use it with my new iPhone 3G with the 2.2.1 update. I didn't get to check it with the 2.2 update (it may have worked fine with that). If so, I need to roll that update back. But, I was wondering if anyone else had a problem with this update. I checked the search and couldn't find a topic on this. if I missed it my bad. But, I just wanted a quick answer. It comes up on the iPhone that this accessory is not iPhone compatible. Do you want to use it in
  6. I doubt there would be a problem. Runs the same software as the previous model. Can't be 100% sure for you but, I don't think there would be a problem.
  7. I too much chime in on the fact that maybe the cable is not working. I have the same setup (F-700) and I lose my right channel at times when I use my iPod. randomly. So, either they have made some faulty cables or, there is something wrong with the unit.
  8. I am going to try it. Going to update my iPod tonight and see what happens tomorrow. I suspect that it should work, but who the heck knows.
  9. So wait, the new 2.0 update to the Pioneer does not work with 1.1 version of the iPod Touch? Thats bad. Especially for those folks that didn't want to pay for the updated software. Not that I think there are many of them out there, but still. Means that something is VERY different between the two firmwares as to why it will not work with every version of the firmware for the touch. Now, what happens when there is a version 3 to the touch? I guess we do this all over again?
  10. Well, as for me. This update has been great. I have everything working fine now. Only real complaint I have is when recieving calls it goes to that Map screen. Which makes no sense but, I can live with that. Other then that, My contacts copied over after several tries. Calls are still clear and my iPod hasn't had an issue at all. Everything works and plays. Video's, music, ect. Other then losing my EQ settings on the update. I can say this was a good purchase and, I do hope Pioneer fixes any remaining issues soon. Thank you Pioneer!!!
  11. just to add to this. This is a PITA install. I have a G35 (2003 sedan) and it came with the Bose radio system. I did the head unit in there only because it died. And I had to replace it. I did all the pre wiring before hand with the wire harness and the console that needs to be replaced. I didn't have to change any speakers or add any amps, cause that was done already. It still took me about 8 hours to get everything together. The console is a PITA to take apart and put back. Cause EVERYTHING pretty much needs to come off. I am sure you may have video and guides to help, and it will.
  12. Album art is crap. Looks pixelated. Which makes no sense since the image is of good quality. I am running the latest update to the ipod touch (first gen). Works perfectly so far. THANK GOD!!!! I can run video no problem, and all play smoothly so far. Music videos look good on this screen. Need to see it at night though.
  13. Installed the update while at work. Took about 10 minutes just like it said it would. Only thing I think I did wrong was that I didn't have to update the TTS, I think my unit came with the right version on it, and therefor when I tried to update it. Nothing would happen. So I hope I didn't screw anything up further by trying. However so far everything else I had a complaint about is working fine. iPod Touch G1 update 2 is working fine so far. I can connect, charge and control. I can play my video's that I have on there which is a SUPER PLUS. I totally forgot that was a feature.
  14. only thing I can think of as to why it keeps failing on you is that maybe there is something wrong with your SD card or card reader (whatever you use to put the files to the SD card. If at all possible to use someone else's (if you have access to it) SD card and even a different reader just to be on the safe side.
