  2. So far nobody has been able to get rid of it... http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17386
  3. Why would you want to go through all this trouble when you can import images from SD or USB right from the settings screen? Just create a folder called "Pictures" on SD or USB and place the images you want to use as a splashscreen in that folder. On the settings screen select "Import from SD" or "Import from USB". This is described in the manual. So, do not mess with test mode if you only want to change the splash screen!
  4. Check the handbrake connection, some functions are only available when the handbrake is applied. It's described in the manual. Or you could just do the bypass, then you don't need to use the handbrake Info is in the hacks/mods forum.
  5. Thanks for finding the separated_safety_mode bug, my Avic is hardware bypassed, so I've never had any problems First post is updated, the mute buttons now work without hardware bypass.
  6. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18203 So far, nobody knows..
  7. Stuffit has an option to ignore those Finder files (.DS_Store) when creating zip files. But I do the same as BorisM, I don't touch the data.zip but put the files in a ui_pioneer directory instead. Much easier.
  8. I haven't put a lot of time in this, the mute button as it is works good enough for my needs. You would indeed need to declare some variable and have it track the sound.announcer.muted status, then read that variable when the software initializes and mute/unmute the voice depending on the saved value. Not too difficult, just need some time to do it. Right now I'm working on replacing the dull blue boxes with some nice glossy black ones, maybe I'll look into this when I'm done. You could just set the voice volume at 0 in the settings, that way she is always muted
  9. It is possible to get rid of just the second turn box but you have to mod your Avic, read the faq in this subforum on how to do this. (getting into testmode etc) The file you need to mod is the data.zip/ui_pioneer/800_480/ui/navigatemap_800_480.ui file, the file where most of the mods in this forum happen. You will find the secondary turn box inside the ui_NavigateMapRouteNavigation layer. You will need to disable 5 lines in total: - the sprSecCorner sprite, this is the blue background - two sprites named xxx, the secondary_direction_icon and secondary_exit_icon, these are the little
  10. Well... If you're not comfortable with touching your data.zip file you might not want to try this but I'll point you in the right direction. Carefully read the faq and sticky topics in this subforum! In the file data.zip/ui_pioneer/800_480/ui/navigatemap_800_480.ui you will find the blue background image on line 87, it looks like this: The part you want to change is the onrelease='SAYNEXTCOMMAND' bit. Change it so it reads: onrelease='run sc_btnARM_Delete_OnRelease', the line will look like this: Hope this helps
  11. On a Mac, just double click to extract it or choose 'Open with > Archive Utility'. There should be a Folder called LPUE080, not a file! The LPUE080 folder from my european 1.9 update is exactly 262.4Mb in size and contains 526 items. You could also try a tool like Stuffit Expander if you still have problems.
  12. Oops, I thought mikeinnj had posted a zipfile with the images included.. First post is updated with a new zipfile containing the images and mikeinnj's fix.
  13. Thanks mikeinnj for updating the zip file, I've been away on holiday while this firmware came out, so haven't had the chance to update it myself. I added the empty button image so people could create their own buttons if they were not happy with mine, you don't need it if you use my images.
  14. I've also seen this message after quickly starting and stopping my car. It worked normally after clicking "no". At first I thought it had something to do with my mods, but it just seems to be some kind of failsafe system. Nothing to worry about.
