  1. as an FYI I tried accessing the menu with the car parked and the parking brake engaged and it's still not active... I am able to watch movies when I drive
  2. Thanks, I didn't even notice it because it's "grayed out"!?! Any idea as to why or how to make the button active?
  3. Hey there, I used to have the GPS voice announce directions while the music continued to play.. I had to disconnect the battery and now the music is interrupted by the voice only... how do I get it to talk over the music again????

    HELP

I'd really like to be able to add some icons on the map that shows Tim Horton's Coffee shops and Esso gas stations... that's all, I'm really green to this stuff and would just appreciate the markers. Would someone be so kind as to provide me with the necessary directions to do this, or perhaps do it for me I would be more than happy to compensate... I have an AVIC F-90BT

    Compass

Some of you guys have done a tremendous amount of work and made some pretty impressive mods... me, I'd just like to change the compass to something easier to see.... any way I can just change the compass to this - download/file.php?id=6808
  6. Ok, I did the update not long ago and things were great... now all of a sudden I don't get sound from my iPOD 80GB Video when its playing.... ANy ideas?
  7. Hi, I'm in Toronto Canada and have a Rogers GSM cell phone (Sony Ericsson W810i)... Pioneer told me that the avic-f90bt only will display call id with a Bell (CDM) phone and not with Telus or Rogers.... Is there anyone on these boards who is a Rogers customer and has caller id working? Does this even make sense??? The phone book transfer worked perfectly, the phone connects really well, and the handsfree is wonderful.... would love to have call ID though
  8. F-series model: F90BT Phone make/model: Sony Ericsson W810i Ease of connection: very Phone book transfer: easy Sound quality: very good (or so I am told) Comments: Unable to call contacts by picking them from the Pioneer. Phone usually connects within the first 1-2 minutes of start up or wont connect at all at which point I turn the phone off and on. The unit fails to recognize that I have pushed the main button to initiate voice commands 95% of the time but when it does work voice dialing is no problem. Irritated by the fact that when ppl call me who are in my phone book and in the
  9. I have burned the same files to DVD as divx (avi) and there is no problem... just when reading from the SD... it screws up the entire navi
  10. Does anyone else notice that when playing video from the SD card the entire unit displays serious lag? When I play from a dvd I can skip to next video / track almost immediately or bring up the menu, adjust volume etc.. when I play from the SD there is serious lag to the point that I wonder if the unit will respond.
  11. this is the info that is in the manual and what I got from Pioneer today... They told me class 4 was the highest it could go. Good to know that I can go higher than the 8GB mark, not so good to hear that the ppl answering the phones at Pioneer Canada dnt know what they are talking about. I'm buying a card to run divx video off of (3-6 minute files)... anyone have experience with this? Just as good as the DVD?
  12. I found the information in the manual incomplete vs the plethora of options available and spent about 30mins on the phone with Pioneer to get the maximum class information. Here's what you need to know: Compatible physical format - Version 2.00 Max capacity memory - 8GB File system - FAT16, FAT32 *NOT IN MANUAL* Maximum Class 4: 4 MB/sec minimum data transfer rate Hope this helps...
  13. someone in the DivX forum answered my question, I've tested it and it works GREAT! Maybe someone could sticky this info??? Home Theater profile is fine. Problem is that the converter creates files with a ".divx" extension. Only DivX Ultra certified devices will be able to play files with this extension. However, if you rename your files with an ".avi" file extension, your device should be able to play them just fine.
