i cant find a replacement. where can i get one for cheap?

aparently from thermal shock as i was cleaning the screen with windex after it had sat in the sun all day friday. there was a thread on here a while back that said where you can get replacement parts. i saved the service manual from here on anoter old thread and used it to open the unit. but i cant find eather thread. so where can i get the touchscreen glass thing by it's self? if it's not too expensive i might just save up for another - more stable unit and sell the D3.

did you turn on the sub on the D3? it's posible that they pluged it into tre rear out intead of the sub out. a easy thing to do since we all know that the D3 has more rca's than a recording studio LOL

mostly b/c the D3 is unstable. for example sometimes the bluetooth will work and sometimes not. it crashes. and i'm just not overly impresed with it. that and i like the HDD feature. i'd like to transfer my music libray to it so i can use my ipod for other things. i've heard noting but good about the z series and noting but firmware upgrade after firmware upgrade for the F so it seemes z is the way to go.

i'm a AVIC D3 owner thats been thinking of upgrading to a Z3 or Z4 if it comes out. do u think this is a good upgrade from the D3? also i've herd that theres a guy on here that sells the HDD for the unit. what exatly is this? is the firmware and nivagation maps on that drive freeing up the cd/dvd drive? also can i send this guy ANY sized hardrive say 120gb for him to put on whatever navigation firmware so i can replace that with my ipod?

if the car was a stick shift u could have pushstarted it. jet get the car rolling little more than walking speed w/ the ignition on and put in first or second then pop the clutch. my battery is 6 years old (factory battery) and is weak. this solves my problem evrey time. or mabie i'm to cheap to buy a new battery

i dont remimber witch one but u can take a standard camcorder 3.5mm to composite cable. (like the apple ipod cable. and swap around the signals till u find the right combonation. for ex. the standard composite camcoder cable (again i dont remimber witch) but u can switch the red and yellow and it works.

let it load in the window. took bout 10 mins for me. and then click the diskite icon saving the file. mine was a little over 40mb.

try turning up the gain on your sub amp. the D3 has weak preouts.

they make memory savers. they plug on your battery cables or plug in the power socket and keep any computers memories alive including the AVIC. powersocket: (only works if the socket is not key switched) http://www.tooltopia.com/index.asp?Page ... well i got it downloaded and burned to a DL disk. first one i used magic ISO and it didnt work. then tried Imgburn and it worked first time! indeed it's a upgrade. and havent knoticed any map updates yet but sofar i'm happy! i need to send ya a beer

thats the torrent file. open that file in your favorate torrent program (bitlord for ex) and then it will d/l the actual data.
