1. i actually re calibrated it again. I made sure I was about 1/4in in from the left and right of the screen. Now it works like it did the day I got it.
2. Is the touch screen easy to replace? I am tech savvy. The touch screen is pissing me off. It has the problem that some other Avic-D1's seem to suffer from. It is not staying calibrated and it is losing some sensitivity... I guess you'd call it. Thanks.
3. oo, i have that "lag" it doesn't bother me. i thought u had like a second or two of lag. like the IR version would have in some cars. well you gotta realize it has to convert the signal into pioneer language, thast what the lag is. and even if pioneer came out with an adapter to hook up the stock buttons on the steering wheel there would still be lag since it would be converting it. all cars have different resistance for the buttons.
4. i got the swi-ps, for people that dont know it is a hardwire adapter, not the swi-x which is ir. so there is barly any lag at all. took me 2min to program cause thats really all the time you have. it was tricky at first. but read the directions a few times before u try it so u have an idea whats after each step when you attempt.
5. http://pac-audio.com/swixprogramming/sw ... amming.asp no help there? Is your year on of the years not listed? what year are you. I can try to look up some info for you
6. gnat- you are more patient than I am. i was just annoyed at theoff deal, and searching. faster to do thru the ipod of course, and with the color screen on the ipod its easy to read
7. i had a good guy. tried everything we could to solve it
8. They have great tech support. i asked questions about that. easy to do this and that. but they said, if i remember correctly, they have to make generic software that works with everything, the don't have the time or money to make each unit special.
9. i had it, and tried wiring it to constant, i still had the same problems
10. it gives u routes inbetween fastest and shortest it seems. may be what you want. give it a try
11. good deal, and with the extra $100 u spend, you get teh pioneer warranty
12. 6ave is sketchy. i was going to order, but i called up and was sketched out. I thought about paying the extra money for something less sketchy. Ive ordered from www.sonicelectronics.com in the past. no problems
13. above post was me. i was logged out for some reaosn.
14. all i know is you got a din and a half opening. i havent seen pictures. My family firned asked me about that too, but when i took a look, he had something in the way where he would be able to get it custom. soemhting he had installed was preventing it form becoming a double din. im not 100% sure. But im interested to find out what you leanr, and maybe even pics! lol
