well I have a problem now. when avic boot straght up this works fine but however if I engage back up camera during booting.system go into endless booting. I tried to install content foldr on original location (erased many states to make a same size) still doing endless rebooting. I have to try a couple of different thing before give up..

this is wonderfull. I also put content folder on SD card now I can update map even with testmode. thanks.

OK I finally installed perment solution. I was gona install second backup battery but found software solution. EEgeek realeased Wince moder and pretty easy to use. I modifed registry and add font file.and voila it stay working after resets. just flow above link and read second page it's really easy.

also I guess I have to modify same version wince image? because I don't have image file in myflash disk folder.so I'll have to mod one in the 3.0 upgrade pakage. I belive I have 3.0 ce on my AVIC but there is noway to confirm. well I'll give it a try anyway..

BTW I couldn't understand about file addon part.where these files go?I think if add files in the modder it installed with wince? then which dir it should go? I mean I should know which dir so I can edit registry. yesterday forum was down so I didn't try modified CE install but kinda scary.but I will try anyway..

finally sucessfully installed dealey timer. now anytime avic start boot up it'll have 1 minute to finish booting. but looks like when I crank the engine voltage drop is too big avic can't continue booting.but bigger battery might help. anyway now I can turn the key to close the window and turn off right away and avic will still finish the booting so I don't have to install the font again. the kit I order from ebay was not suitable for my needs so I had to build from scratch.I use general NE555 timer circuit with relay. I think this is not the perfect solution but sure it'll

what? f700 have ssme ressting problem.if the power is interupted in certain period of booting it resets to factory defaults. I thought this is same problem on all avic 700 900 90.maybe 500.

there is memory power at the connection this one has constant power regardless of key position. I use acc as switch so whenever key goes acc it gets at least 1 min power either key goes to off or on or start. only down side is this way other ACC devices or outlets will get power too.but I think there is almost 0 ACC powered device on my car. or I can simply install diode to prevent backflow. otherthing is I don't know if AVIC will keep boothing with craking voltage drop. well still it'll reduce number of resetting siginificantly. I'm gona install dealeay timer so when ever key goes in to on position avic get power 1minute even key turns off or start..this way avic can finish boot so nomore reset anymore. I ordered timer and I'll soon install it I'll keep youguys updated..

I've been away from forum some time but soon as I saw this update hack I had to try.. ON MY F-700 it works like charm..Key response is way faster..I've lost custom thems from CMH but other mode still stays.. It was little hard to get in to blue screen cause whenever I try to push 4 buttones it'll restart but about ten tries I was able to get into blue screen..and follow the instructions..and after update wince key reponse was already fast er after that copy new APL folder and that was it... now only we can hack new igo and maps...
