I'm not sure what's different in the USB testmode file.... I'm able to boot from a 2 GB and an 8 GB flash drive connected to the ipod charging cable with no problem. When you try to boot from a flash drive and can't get into testmode, is this happening with the files i uploaded for you, or did this happen in the past?

Yes, unzip and place the attached testmode folder in the root directory of your usb device. TestMode2.3_for_USB.rar

In the back of the f90bt user manual (and probably all the other model manuals) there are specifications for what video formats to use on usb drives, sd cards, etc. The specs are very specific, saying only certain bitrate and encoders will work. Hi, I'm using a 2nd gen ipod touch with my f90bt, and I just had what sounds like the same 'no sound' problem (haha no pun intended!) happen for the first time 2 weeks ago. Since then it's happened 2 more times, and I think I've figured out what caused it. It got really cold here right before this happend and all 3 of the times I had the no sound problem it was extremely cold and I'd left my ipod in the car while I went into a store or restaurant for a long time. Hi bsharp8, I'm having the same problem that you had when I try to acccess MSNDIRECT, - the same error message comes up. How exactly did you solve the msndirect problem? I did read the posts, but I can't begin to figure out "It looks like an original data.zip file!!! Make sure, that you are correctly has been installed skin into content\skin folder" - what that means, or what it suggests I do. Any help would be so appreciated! thank you, ic

Did you try downgrading your firmware back to your pre-3.0 / 3.01 state? I don't know if that's the only answer, but I think it would solve your problem. Keep us updated please? good luck! infochia
