  1. I dowloaded the zip file from the ftp server a week ago but only today was I able to test it (I had to wait for some blank Dual Layer Memorex DVDs to arrive in the mail). It works great! Scared the hell out of me when the screen went black for about 20 seconds but then it said "Updating" and a progress bar ran thru to 100% and then the unit rebooted. After it came back up it now says Pioneer 5/2008 on the boot up screen. THis is for Avic-D3 I used "7-zip" to unzip the file. Then I used "DVD-Decrypter" to write the iso image to a dual layer dvd+r Memorex brand at 4x Much thanks to t
  2. I use DVD-Decrypter (http://mrbass.org/dvdrip/) From the menu choose Mode > ISO > Write Way easier than Alcohol 120 and its freeware that never expires. And get 7-zip if you want free software that handles zip, rar and many other compression formats. Also freeware and an excellent performer. DVD-Decrypter can rip DVDs as well as burn them (and also burn .iso images) That is the program I used to make a duplicate of my Original Avic D3 discs
  3. eGo, Thanks for doing this brother. It is extremely kind of you and I like most others have been checking the site every day to get the East Coast disc for D3 and so glad that patience has finally paid off. And thanks to the original uploader. I am very excited about the updated disc! Yay! ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!
  4. eGo, I just downloaded the .torrent you posted but it shoes as an .iso file rather than a .zip Is this what you intended? I opened up the .torrent with bitComet software and I am downloading now at speed of 27 kB/s
  5. Yes I also live in Florida and am frustrated about not being able to get the CNDV-80MT East DVD for free. i am disgusted at Pioneer for charging such an extravagant sum as $150. Heck even up to $30 USD would have been reasonable but more than that is just price gouging. Soon (within 30 days I predict) you will see the counterfeit CNDV-80MT DVDs go up for sale on eBay for like $15 each and Pioneer will lose millions in revenue due to their greed. They will have high-balled themselves right out of the market. The audacity of them to charge so much for an "upgrade" they should
  6. These people crying out for help on using rar and torrent really need to get off their butts and do a search on their favorite search engine. First search for and download 7-zip (thats a free software that un-compresses rar files and many others). After u install it then right click on the rar file u are trying to open and choose "extract here". Thats it. As for torrent u need a torrent software program. Same way as you need Adobe acrobat reader to open a pdf file, you need a torrent software to open a .torrent file. I like "BitComet". search for that and install it. T
