1. Ok, more information. Someone has to have had this problem before. The issue seems to be with either the peripheral GMAH24 module or the aux relay. When I start the truck, the relay doesn't always activate. Unfortunately, I didn't check to see if the coil has power, but my feeling is that it doesn't, so for some reason the peripheral module isn't providing it. Relays are pretty simple devices, and usually stick closed, not open, so I have a feeling the relay is fine. I did discover the peripheral website says the module isn't compatible with the 2009 H3 due to the factory bluetooth
2. I've tried to search, but can't seem to come up with the right combination of keywords to find a solution. I've reinstalled my D2 into a 2009 H3, had it in 2006 and 2007 H3 and pulled it out of both (also did the initial install). Since I put it in, about half the time when I start the truck the unit doesn't start up (I can hear the fan running, but the screen doesn't move to the tilted position and is blank). I also hear the chime module chime once. If I shut the truck off and restart, it comes up fine. Other things (AC, dash lights) come on, so it doesn't seem like the key switch
3. My system is not Y91, I checked that before I bought the unit. Apparently it doesn't work well with the amp the H3 premium system has either.
4. I did a search before I purchased a Neucleus NC-GM39B from American International, but nothing came up. Hopefully by posting this I can help someone else avoid some aggrivation. This is an all-in-one onstar/chime module for GM vehicles, mine is a Hummer H3. The module is supposed to work with either amplified or non-amplified systems (it has two sets of input/output ports on it). The H3 is clearly listed on AI's website as an appropriate vehicle for this module. Unfortunately, the function of the module is unacceptable. While the chimes and onstar do work, there is an audible "pop"
5. Sorry if my post confused you. I think what tillithz is trying to say with this (and other) cryptic post is go back to his(?) original post that said turn on the A/V input. Not the AUX input. Same thing I said, but I think I gave a bit too much information.
6. Isn't what he wants the AV input, not aux? I have an adapter going into the IP-bus that hooks my MP3 player into the AUX (and had to turn it on as you said). But wouldn't hookups into the AV inputs require source to be set to AV? Would also require setting AV source to on? Just a thought.
7. First attempt at making a DVD went well, used DVD decrypter, UltraISO, and Alcohol to create, edit, and burn image. Used a single layer DVD, but no problems putting the new background images on the D2. So, I decided to get a bit ambitious and picked up some double layer DVDs. This time, I copied the DVD files to my computer, changed the bgopen2 file, and put new PIMs in the appropriate directories. I then burned a DL DVD (using Sonic). All seemed to go well. Put the new DVD in, reset the unit, and my new opening background came up, success! However, when I went to change Nav or A
8. The radio surround just pops out, with the AC vents above it and all of the controls attached. Put your fingers in the lighter sockets and pull, then work your way around. Six clips I believe. Put the shifter in D1 to give you more room. Then you'll need to unhook all of the connectors on the back, only tricky one is on 4WD controls. It has a green tab that pulls out, then squeeze the connector (from bottom to top) and pull to remove. It really is pretty easy, I've been into mine quite a bit to install my D2.
9.
The site said there was only 7 units in stock, so you guys might not want to wait until my unit comes in to know how it makes out.
Paul: Where do you see inventory on the site? I'm curious if the number decreased after your purchase. I can't find anything that indicates how many of anything in stock.
10. The address in the domain registration doesn't really mean much, found this about another registration with the same PO box: "The Emeryville address is revealing: It shows that the domain was registered through an anoymizing service offered by Yahoo under the name "Yahoo! Private Domain Registration". Only registrations done through that service have that P.O. Box address. It is a fact that reputable companies have no reason to conceal their identities and actual locations. Only the owner's name remains unchanged, but nothing is easier than to register a domain with a fake nam
