everything seemed to load correctly according to the directions. Now, the touchscreen does not respond

This unit is practically worthless to the average consumer like me. I am sure by the time I attempt to make everything work, I will ""brick it" as you say in here. Well, Here goes, I will try the fixes in here. I do wish to Pre-Thank everyone here that takes the time to help.
