can you shed any more light on how it's working (or not working)? I picked up an iPhone 3G+S today f/w 3.1.2 installed. I have an F700BT with the 3.01 f/w on it. The bluetooth seems to be squelching and feedback-like (never was with my Moto RAZR2 - but whatev) ... I used the Pioneer Cables - not the Apple ones. Any major differences to make note of? Just curious if I should be looking at upgrading the HU if it's going to be nothing but problems with my new electronics, or if I can get this to work. Anyone else have a similar setup?

has anyone tried to make an image of the SD disks? I've read that if you use the second disk after you've performed the 3.0/1 unofficial upgrade that it doesn't ask for a p/w and it updates the HU. (Maybe it's just FW and no maps ... not sure). I'd like to see what I could do about getting the software installed by bypassing the device ID process, or merely circumventing it for testing purposes - of course. If anyone can make images of their two SD cards, that would be a start.

I'm not sure. I can't replicate the error. Do you have other mods installed? Did you follow the instructions? (not trying to sound condescending). This mod is the only one I have on my f700. Is anyone else having this problem that is using the file? viewtopic.php?t=18032

It does have US ones, but they're just the ones that came with SpeedCam Mod 3.0 and CMH's mod. I don't know how current they are. I live in Canada, and seldom travel to the US.

I have 15 or 16 zip files with thousands of traffic, red light, photo radar, and speed camera locations all across Canada. I'm trying to compile one big master list, that hopefully can be uploaded to the stereo or at the very least, used with Avic Feeds and saved to an SD Card. I've been hammering away at it for a few hours now. Hopefully I'll have it done before Friday. I want to keep it as updated as possible. I know there will be some old information mixed with a lot of new information. Hopefully you guys will be able to help me refine it once I have the first copy completed.

I'm trying to figure out a way to control the video played from an SD Card... like fast forwarding through an AVI file. Don't know if it's realistic or not. I hate when I shut the car off that the movie starts again from the beginning with no way to get back to the point it left off from. Haven't seen any mods for something like this... any takers? heh

Can you perform key presses up,up, down, menu, left, right without it rebooting? Along the bottom there should be little asterisks signifying you made a key press. When done correctly it brings you the a menu where you can update the WINCE and whatnot.... I know there were format options there when performing the WINCE update - not 100% sure if there is a standalone format option) ... either way, if you can make it to that menu, you may have a fighting chance and getting it going again.

You're not bricked. If you can get onto the blue screen where is says PRESS RESET Press UP, UP, DOWN, MENU, LEFT, RIGHT and format the unit. Then use testmode and load the x910bt image on there.

Need a little bit of help. I can get the 3.0 update on my F700BT no problem, but the 3.01 ... not a chance. I get the System Startup In Progress on the main screen... it sits there for 3 minutes or so, then reboots my carputer. WinCE is updated, everything runs fine with the 3.0 version. I've formatted My Flash Disk 3 times, and reverted back to 3.0 and applied the 3.01 update but still no go. I am at a loss. Does anyone have any suggestions? When I removed my stock stereo from my VW Jetta, it would remain on when I killed the engine, but the key was still in RUN. Same deal if the car was completely off, if I turned the key to RUN or ACC, the stereo would stay on, and when I went to start the car, it would continue to remain on. I've had the AVIC F-700BT installed for a year now, and it seems to shut off and every stage. If I kill the engine, the f700 has to reboot. If I'm in RUN or ACC and the stereo is fully booted, then go to start the car - again, it has to reboot. Is there a way I can wire the stereo to remain on (exc

what do you plan on doing? I have a 2004 VW 2.slow are you referring to the vag-com cable? you don't need that unless you plan on tuning the car. don't need it for anything relating the stereo.

Firstly, I have an F-700bt, CD-SB10, SC-C1, Ipod Cable, Software bypass hack. 1) If I'm cruising down a highway or road... at random the unit will cut all the sound and the voice will come on an tell me "You Are Over The Speed Limit". Sometimes this will happen when I'm doing 5km/h over or 50km/h over. Would this be an issue with the VSS wire? 2) Also, I took apart my dashboard to install the Ipod Cable and a wire was hanging down - the mute wire. Can this be grounded to the chassis, or would this cause conflict with my bypass hack or anything? I use my bluetooth cellphone a lot
