I have the same issue, I ended up buying the Ipod etreme roadshow wires which hooks up perfect but can't see videos... I done all that is mentioned above but still nothing... Anyone??? Thnks

sounds like your reverse sense wire on the back of the unit is stuck in one state (the reverse state)... do you have a rear-view camera installed? Nope, no rear view camera installed, reverse wire s not installed as well...

anyone have this on their start-up screen and what causes it?

How do I get to those controlsa on the z-1

Hi Ducatiboy, I'm working on my Z1 right now, don't know what year it was made because I bougt it used. I tried grounding the two wires, works fine but when the vehicle is moving, a warning message comes up and z1 shuts the movie off. Does this mean I need to get the bypass module you sell? Thanks in advance. Glenn

Unless he requested his installer do the 3-switch bypass which requires cutting the GPS antenna. I would assume that's at no risk to the installer, aside from the legal risks. Yep, installer was actually doing me a favor with installing it for free... Do any of you know where I can get one at a reasonable price?

Well I thought it would be as easy as buying male video cables and hooking those to female AV (Z1) to the additional screen but it's not working. The additional screen is not recognizing the Z1. Any info or help?

I know it might have been asked before but how would I tell if my Z1 is prior jul or after july? Sorry, I bought mine used...

Sorry, I still dont understand, forgive my ignorance... is the ECM/PCM the box with all the fuses in the engincne bay, behind the headlight? what about one from the interior of the car, is the VSS wire accessible there too? Thanks

Do you happen to have the VSS location and for the 2007 mitsubishi eclipse? Also, the vioce prompt for the "turn by turn direction" does not work, any help? the only thing I don't have hooked up is the VSS. Thanks Glenn

ok everything works great... Stupid question though, how do you turn the navigation (screen) off? I figured outhow to turn the AV off but can't with the navi. :D

OK I've got everything hooked up and seems to work fine. How can you run through the whole system to tell if you've got everything in order? which programs should I expect not to work? I don't have a reverse camera (didn't hook the reverse wire up) Thanks

Does it matter if the reverse light wire is installed? Does it make a huge difference/error if not installed? Glenn
