  1. I have read quite a few posts about not being able to import "Contacts" via the "Phonebook". I had the same problem with my Samsung "sync" A707. As it turns out, when I connected via bluetooth my AVIV-F90bt created a blank "phoneBook" database. I could just not access it to import the contacts from my phone. My workaround was to "Edit" the phonebook as I had read in some other posts. I know there is a basic thread about "Editing Your Phonebook in the forums, but I can see we have alot of other newbees such as myself so I made these step-by-step instructions. Make sure you have a bas
  2. F-series model: 90BT Phone make/model: Samsung "sync" A707 Ease of connection: Very Phone book transfer: No how no way. However, I found a workaround. It seems that even though I could not transfer any contacts, the actual database is on the Flashdrive. I followed the instructions in the "Edit Your Phonebook" thread at http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18248&highlight=phonebook+editor and now I have working "Contacts". Sound quality: Excellent on my end. I'm told I'm slightly muffled on the other end but audible. Comments: Thought I would have to replace my pho
  3. I grounded: 1. The Unit (black wire) 2. The Parking Brake wire 3. The relocated Mute wire All to the vehicle chassis (ground). Works perfect.
  4. Installed my new F90BT yesterday. I used the hardware bypass that's described and pictured in this post. Grounded both the Mute and Parking Brake wire. Works like a champ. Wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU !! to the owners and moderators of this board along with all the members posting great information. Now I'm going to read, read, search, and read some more. Hopefully I can contribute some day and give back to the AVIV411 community.
  5. The additional cable required is a 4 conductor as it includes left and right audio along with video in. Your basic MP3 cable only has 3 conductors so the sections of the pin are probably not lining up right. I think the Installation manual shows a diagram of the plug. If you could get the right size plug I'm sure you could build your own adapter with just audio in.
