  1. EDIT: Nevermind. Found the search button. That thing rocks. Great up! Thanks! I have not looked through all 43 pages, but when I'm in 3D view, none of my street names/labels are showing up. Is this normal? It was there on v2.0 for me, but not it's not there. I can switch to 2D view, and the street names/labels show up just fine. Any ideas?
  2. Thanks for all this info! I'm having an issue though --- I can get to the part where I choose Update via SD (Format) --- and when I insert the SD card and and click the knob, the unit read "Read Progress: 100%" and just gets stuck. Doesn't move from here. I can't get into Test Mode. Any ideas?
  3. Is this the same one that's on the last page? That's the one that I downloaded...everything works fine except for the actual street names...these don't seem to be slowed down. Thanks though!
  4. Has TTS been improved? I know Samantha's voice still sounds terrible - but does she actually say street names now instead of "Take Exit 39C"?
  5. Does this include the new maps?
  6. Has TTS been fixed? Will it actually say street names on the freeway now? Or will it continue to say "Exit 122C". Wow.
  7. Has TTS been fixed? It's atrocious!
  8. Okay, so please tell me there is an actual MUTE button somewhere on this thing... Every time I go to hold the knob in to mute, it goes into the VOICE COMMAND! Annoying!!! It actually might MUTE my system once every 10 tries --- that's ridiculous! How do you MUTE your entire system?
  9. Is there a way to get Samantha to say street names instead of "Take the next right" She says this I've noticed when there is less than about 400ft to the turn. If it's more than that, she'll say "prepare to turn right in 1000ft onto Jefferson Ln" But, if the next turn is within 400-500ft, all she says is "take the next right" Can I have her say the street name instead?
  10. Oh, yeah, I bet, the stock one is terrible. I just like having the extra grip with a little less knob.
  11. Nice! This forum freakin' rocks!!! Anyway, is there a way to make the sides have some kind of "grip". You know, the one you can find on most stock radios. That would be sweet.
  12. Nice! Just what I was looking for! How pathetic of PIONEER! WOW! This is awesome! Anyway, does anyone have these files edited that they can upload? Or does the code need to be edited individually? I say this because I'm trying to edit the files, but it's a bit more complicated than I thought. I thought I could use someone else's files as a template...
  13. Yeah, I kept it all. Essentially, when the Garmin setup files asked where to install, I chose my SD card.
  14. Okay, guys, got the GARMIN XT to work with the same file found in a previous post. I followed the instructions provided closely until it got to the portion about getting the UNIT ID (which is essentially your SD card). Because this is primarily for a mobile device, the instructions say you need to get the unit's ID, but since we are all installing it on the SD card, our "unit" is the SD card. So, to get the "unit" ID, you need to put the SD card back in the AVIC unit and toggle through the settings (I can't remember which one specifically right now, but it's one of the ABOUT settings)
