  1. If that was the case I dont see why would it let me see one of the images which i've been using since its the only one that it lets me choose, every other image says corrupt but I'll try again if you say i cheated. Thanks,
  2. So the guide worked perfect using Nero. I created a folder called pictures and put a total of 25 JPG files in there and a a total of 7 RAR files in the root which totaled 110mbs. The Z1 (running Z3 firm) recognized the CD-R; however, when i went to import the images it will display all 25 JPGs yet I was only able to select one of them (lexus logo), any other images which are all at 500x240 will say "file corrupted" which i would click on them. All the file sizes vary between 28 to 60kbs Any ideas?
  3. What's going on guys? Well just like the rest of the users in this thread, I am having the same issue. I was able to start my F900BT using Safe Mode SD and deleted all 4 GPSDATA*.BIN files. I shutoff the ignition, remove the SD card and start the car again. As long as the car is parked the radio stays on just fine; however, as soon as I start moving the unit displays the following warning and it reboots: Caution! System detected improper connection of Parking brake lead. Please check your configuration for safety. Please see operation manual for more information regarding safe operati
  4. Anyone? if anyone can at least provide me with the link to the guide on how to modify the speed file using the Windows CE SD, I should be able to edit that file again to resolve this problem. I just cant find the page where i got the instructions originally. Thank you
  5. What's up guys, For the last week my F900BT keeps restarting once the car goes in motion. If parked it does not do it, sometimes it does display the error message "The system has detected an improper brake connection" (or something of that effect) and it reboots right away going into a rebooting loop. I've had the system for about 2 years and I did do the soft mod using WindowsCE to edit the file (forgot the name of it) and changed the MPH to something like 150mph so i could access the settings, watch movies, etc while the car was in motion. Never had a problem and never changed anything u
  6. GQRilla, Thanks a lot for the advise! I just ordered it online and should be getting it this Friday (hopefully) or monday at the latest. The other alternative was to go with a line driver but that's a more expensive route to take. I'll give your suggestion a try first. I'll post the results. Thanks again!
  7. Rice you can probably get away with the Metra 70-7551 hardness and the F90BT which has a Preout of 4 Volts vs. 2.2 Volts pushed by the F900BT (which is my case) I personally just ordered the line out converter recommended by GQRilla for my F900BT so hopefully that does resolve my problem. Good luck
  8. Yeah, I came come up with any ideas on how to fix this issue. I'll be going to a car audio place this weekend to get my Pac steering wheel controlls adapter installed so i guess i'll ask them
  9. I used the Metra 70-7551 hardness and it doesnt have the gain controllers. Do you have a link? I wouldnt mind changing the hardness on the radio as long as i get more volume. Thank you
  10. Good morning everyone! I installed a new Avic-F900BT in my 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan which is equiped with a Bose amp from factory. I use the proper hardness in order to keep the factory amp. Now the radio works great and all; however, I noticed that even with the volume at its max, is not as loud as my factory radio. I'm pretty sure this is a "tough luck" kinna situation but seeing how many hacks are available for the F series I was hoping there is some sort of volume hack for it LOL (really i am!) Any recommendations? I was hoping just to have to replace the HU in my car and dont reall
  11. Yes Akka! I am on FW 2.0 with an edited pioneer.ini (which was edited "after" i upgraded to 2.0)
  12. Just wanted to confirm (for those who havent done a bypass yet) that I just edited the pioneer.ini using windows CE (SD bootable) from http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17542 . You need a copy for the DATA.ZIP file located "My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\ or inside LPUE080\APL2\iGo\ from the Pioneer update zip file (firmware 2.0 in my case). Open the "DATA.ZIP" file using WinRar (google if you dont have it), open the project_config foler and you'll find the pioneer.ini file. Open the INI file and look for the line "parking_break_speed=16.0" and change the 16 to 200 Save the *.ini fi
  13. Dano, I'm assuming you grounded the mute button after you switched the cable from its original location to the one shown in this post? or did you just grounded all 3 cables from their original locations?
  14. I just installed my radio last night and only grounded the radio's black and parking brake light (light green) and did not work. I'll try adding the mute (yellow/black) cable to the ground as well Thanks for the tip!
  15. Thanks for both suggestion guys! and GQRilla for more than I'm a shame to recognize how "ignorant" and stupid you made me feel, I must admit that you were right on the money!!! LOL maybe the fact that i finished installing the radio at around 12am activated my ignorance or something. But again, you were right on the money! on a positive note, i'm glad it something as simple as that
