  1. Ok...I'm hooked on XM. It works great in the Hummer Avic D3...I would like to be able to use the XM in other cars etc. with the Roady and cradle. Can I use the cradle and a patch cord (3.5 mm to ISP) in place of the GEX-P920XM??? I assume that this will be an audio only connection and tune with the Roady head. Possible??/ Done by others?? Thanks PS...when the one year sub expired we lasted only 4 days with "real" radio...LOL
  2. Yeah me too...the unit was dealer installed soooooooo $$ were spent. I also own a 42' Monaco MH that has issues all the time. Spending more $$$$ doesn't assure that you are going to get stuff done correctly. As a former test pilot, I check my stuff and do my own stuff. Po'd that I have to take apart an almost new Hummer to find crap work??? You bet!!! Surprised?? not really, but I will keep at it untill this little machine works 100%. Hope there are some "helpful" answers to my request. RTFM doesn't clearly answer the reset question, and I don't want to end up with a brick!!!
  3. Fixed... some one had skinned the ground wire, wrapped the mute wire around it and taped it!! Arrrrrrrgh I hate stupid people!! New to me Hummer getting better every day as the bugs get worked out. {)
  4. Bypass is now correct and solid...plays DVD's. When I go through the BT search connect...phone (VZN LGVX8300), it ID's the BT2, pair, enter 0000, does not pair, have tried reset on BT200, BT search for phone "no connection"....mutiple tries, same results, arrrgh. Another thread shows this phone as one that works. Separate issue...can I do a reset on D3 without the security word. I bought this Hummer, sent notes to previous owner, no reponse, dealer no help. Really afraid of that security lockout because Nav and XM are great. Thanks
  5. Disregard the above....found necro's pictures which should be up with the sticky on bypass. Much clearer shots than those available. Will try again tomorrow. Suspect a bad ground, taped splices. probably just twisted wires...arrrrrgh!!!!!!!!
  6. O7 Hummer...D3/XM/Bluetooth. The unit has the black yellow just grounded directly from the head, not plugged into the module.?? Everything worked ok until I put the BTB200 in. It recognized phone once but will not again. Parking brake wire is not present at plug either(down behind unit?) Real HACK job. Most suggestions here are that without a correct bypass it is it or miss. The instruction to move bk/yel up to the open hole doesn't work because it's not there. What does that empty hole actually connect to on the Delphi plug side?? AND is it absolutely necessary? BT lights up
  7. Ok..manual in hand, tried the 1-3-3 areas several times and NO password info appeared or an enter pasword screen. nothing. What does this mean?? Thanks
  8. Locks when power is lost or resets. Exactly the question can I tell if a password has been entered?? Otherwise how do I change a battery etc. and can't reset?? Thanks
  9. Hi to all...I did search but... new to me 07 Hummer with D3. Everything works but I want to add the BT200 for the phone link. It says a reset is necessary. I have the manual and have read the search on password. Can I go to the 1-2-3 password set and tell if it has been set or not AND still back out without lockup?? I would hate to screw this up. No idea if the previous owner set password...nothing written in the manual. Thanks
