  1. I'm in the same boat, removing the nag screen x940bt.
  2. Hello all this been awhile. Here it is a year later and it seems as though the links for the hex values for the NaVi.EXE warning screen removal have been removed. I have not updated my unit yet. I have the files extracting on my hard drive. What I'm trying to do is edit them while they are on the PC then do the firmware update process with the already altered files verses going into test mode copying and pasting through a tiny head unit. AVIC-X940BT_FW-Update_v4.600 for an x940bt. If anyone has any instruction please advise or PM me. I understand is Superbowl Sunday but I am an IT guy thats
  3. It's only day one but everything went smoothly. I had just got my unit back from pioneer on Wednesday and on the repair ticket they had mentioned that they replaced the GPS board. I figured before I put it back in the car, I'd do the upgrade and as per instruction it worked flawlessly. I sent it back for repair on the tts and bluetoth errors I was getting before the warranty expired. It seems that I have a new msn direct key that was not activated so i went ahead and got the 3 month trial. It worked out cause my current subscription expires this month. I'm wondering if the upgrade had anything
  4. I have a digital converter box in my car. It comes with a 12v AC adaptor that I just cut the end off and wired it to the remote wire. It works if your moving very slow or standing still but once you go above 5MPH it cuts out. I was using a magnetic base dongle antenna. I'm still in search of an amplified or bigger digital antenna. It’s pretty cool to watch the traffic channel while your sitting in it. http://www.ezdigitaltv.com/Artec_T3A_Pro.html
  5. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, Here’s my situation: I go to the train station and wait for my wife. During that time I shut the engine off. When I go from acc to actually start the engine back up I have to wait for the dam thing to load again. I was thinking of putting a capacitor and a 1 way diode thingy between the ground and the acc wire to keep the radio on just long enough to start the car so I don't have to wait out the whole process again. This seems logical to me what do you guys think?
  6. Any updates? I tried to roll back to old software and it won't take GPS application. This sux!
  7. As per AudioKrayzy instruction and a little goggling I got to the service menu (I used up 2x then down 2x as the password) on a Avic-D1 and forced program on the 1st and 3rd items but to no avail. The same insert appropriate disk error. I couldn't find the last step he mentioned about Reset saved option in the D1. I now have 2 iso's and 3 coasters that I will put in the microwave. I used Verbatim DVD’s and 2 of 3 verified successfully. What am I doing wrong?
