  1. That's a possibility, however I'm not the only one who had problems extracting stuff on a Mac and this isn't the only time I've had files that failed to extract on a Mac that worked just fine on Windows or Linux. So maybe I'm not reaching. I'm just documenting my experiences and giving others some insight on what might work if they are having the same problems I was. FYI, I was using StuffIt Expander 12.0.2 on my Mac.
  2. I also want to thank the OP for his detailed instructions. I'm in the middle of the "My Flash Disk" copy right now but it's looking promising, especially after the past two hours of head scratching. I definitely want to confirm one thing: Using a Mac did screw things up for me! First attempt, I extracted the rar file on my Mac as well as copied the files to the card. I did manage to do the WinCE upgrade however after the reboot, my F700BT would not load into testmode. I tried resetting a few times, however I just kept getting a black screen after the logo. I then tried the older ve
  3. Good luck with those cables. If they work, please let us know. I tried using a chinese knock off cable as well and it didn't work. It wasn't until after did I find out the cable needs to sync (not just charge) to be able to work with these decks, which the one I purchased didn't. Some of the other ebay cables seem to indicate they sync, but I wasn't really willing to wait weeks for its arrival to try.
  4. From my understanding the 7010BT is identical to the 700BT with the exception of a couple non-functional/non-technical differences. I'd assume anything that can be done with the 700BT can be done with the 7010BT, so I'm going to guess "Yes" on both your questions. BTW, CD-IU230V isn't your only choice for an interface cable. You can use any ipod composite cable (not component!) as long as it has a USB plug and syncs.
  5. Looks good. How is the start up time compared to the 2.0?
  6. minifreezer: I'm going to try the F90BT files and see if that works. Really, all I want to do is play with some customizations while I wait for the parts for my install to come in. I can upload the F700BT 2.0 image once I have my deck installed if anyone wants it....
  7. Thanks for sharing those images! I was able to download the F700 image and extract it fine (I haven't installed my deck into my car yet, so I can't do my own backup). I was following the OS Emulation tutorial in the AVICWiki and when I select "Navi", a blank window comes up with the words "NaviMain" on it and nothing else. When I click on "MainMenu" and go to "Destination", it just hangs there after I press "OK". I'm not sure if that's result of a bad image or if I've configured the emulator incorrectly.
