I also bought a cheap back up camera from ebay, 2 actually. The first one didnt make after the first time I power washed my truck! The second is the kind that bolts to the license plate. So I ran the red wire to "hot while key is on" black to ground of course. The reverse wire to reverse and tapped into that so I can toggle it on any time not just in reverse. Very simple to do.

Wow you nailed that great. After searching around I see the d3 holds its price. I have also seen the 920 for pretty damn cheap as well. My advice would be to keep looking for the 920 deal, unless you find the D3 at an unbeatable deal. That is a jump there in models, no 910BT? I am guessing you want a double din no matter what. I have even seen some AVIC-Z models go for under 500$ always when I am broke of course.

One last thing. It really depends if you want the freedom or control of modding or if you just want new. A few things I left out on the 920 is the mini SD, I havent used it, and iphone stuff. I have an ipod touch but cant get the video to work right. That may be because I had to slpice a wire. It plays video fine on my ipod video. And last I have the Samsung Fascinate and I do love how I can bluetooth it to the 920 for calls and music. Same as my ipod touch, it plays music over bluetooth flawless. Hello, Hmm hard choice or not. I have had the 710BT and now have the 920BT. I will tell you the 920 is pretty nice. But when using the navi I hate the fact that when I am typing a street the unused letters do not disappear like my 710. Also the 920 was hooked up to the auto dimmer but I did not like it when the reverse cam is on its too dark, the 710 I could adjust the brightness even when the headlights were on. Btw on the 710 when you are tpying for navi letters disappear as you type and make it much easier to type. Yes I type sometimes while Im driving! Who doesn't, I am very careful

Not being able to mod is'nt that big a deal to because it pretty much has everything needed. Although I am a little spoiled with modding my old F series. So I am sust going to put it out there. Musicsphere is "churning" my music as I type. I can't wait to check it out. The graphic part looks cool for sure. Somethin out of Minority Report, with the spin and touch of the sphere. And I am sure it will be updated with better features as it "gets out there" more.

Great news. I got BestBuy to trade me for the X920BT, SWEETNESS already did a firmware update and bypas. Can not wait to really check this thing out. I have an ipod touch and going to have to modify my old ipod cable with my digital av cable for my camera. Splice here and there.

Well thnx for your help. I gave up and took it back to BestBuy, after arguin for awhile I got him to replace it. Almost got the X920BT on BestBuy, but then the X920BT was at another store 15 minutes away!! GRRR So I might try to sell they new X710BT on ebay or something and order up a X920BT<<<< I want that or the Z110BT badly Thnx again, I tried to recalabrate, I couldnt get to it. I would have been cool with that if I could have fixed it. My concern is what caused it? I trust the mods hands down, so maybe my daughter was tryin to press ok to quickly? IDK

Is a picture worth a thousand words? Here look at these 2 please. I down graded to 2.0 firmware. DLed the new firmware from Pioneer and tried to update, it wouldn't. After the 2.0 down grade it turns on and when I hit source goes to destination and once again navi warning screen. It is the screens calabration, it is of of sync where it is actually being touched. Is there a fix for this besides a HAMMER?2 screen pix.zip

Ok last night befor I went to bed tried it again. Went into testmode and still can not double tap my device. So out of frustration I kept tapping all over the screen. . . . got in my device! From left to right it is APP folder, My_Doc, and more just remember those two for the first 2. Anyway the only way I can tap the first folder is if I tap at the right sode of the screen, the folder is on the left side. So it is like the unit is on drunk vision. Its like where I tap is out of whack for where it is actually tapping. So the FX3 does not help me as I can not get into FlashDisk, I cant get ove

I have modded my old F710BT then hadd to sell it. Bought new 3 weeks ago X710BT and modded this one out with Diaftia-HybridMods_V2.3_NoMSN_1-14-10 and PMIII ~ Blue ~ V2 I love those two mods, there are friggan GREAT! So I let my mother and daughter use my truck. I went to go somewhere and my screen is stuck on the navi waqrning screen. It connected to my phone and would play a cd, ipod is hooked up and thats it. No matter what I did I got no where. So just came from outside and got it in to test mode. I can click on start and thats it. Can not click on my device. I still have the old 2.0 updat

1st I love this forum and want to thank everyone again for all the cool mods on my f700bt. Ok I just bought an 01 Lincoln Navigator and on the steering wheel I have controls for the factory radio. Is there something I can buy to run with my F700BT and those steering wheel controls? I am looking on google but found nothing. The other thing is I might sell it and buy 99 or new Expedition Eddie Bauer. My truck I sold was lifted and well uh, dont think I want to lift the Navigator. Thanks for any and all help. Shane

That sounds like an awsome idea. Also I have been thinking of a way for built in radar. Annnd how about if cop cars could show up on the gps? Don't most police cars have a gps gig in them these days? If your going with the ODB2 option wouldn't more ram need to be installed on the unit? A friend of mine added more ram to an older xbox. Are these bad iseas?
