  1. ditto, that is crazy annoying but I dont think so
  2. ya man i just went out and looked also, i guess i was thinking about the selction that showed the GPS signal and speed, elevation too...my bad. ill play with it a little more later on when i drive again
  3. I imagine it should have come with the upgrade, but just know that I also thought mine had the update, and it didnt, once i updated it I had some BT problems and it kinda just fixed itself. Acouple things to check out for the Ipod 1) AV1 is set to "Ipod" ....and well...thats all i got, I plug my Iphone in and it plays the movies that are on there, I plan on buying a 120gb Ipod Clasic to throw all the music videos and movies on when i get around to it, but again, I dont have that one so i dont know whats behind it....there is a TV Out selection, not sure how to get to it off the top of
  4. dont rember off the top of my head, but isnt it in Nav Settings?
  5. Oops, I didnt completly get the new layout, After i voted i realized where the General section was, if it comes down to anything close id opt for the new one....though i voted to keep it current. +1 on the color being wack, makes me want to paint a baby room or somting Eaither way if it all changes or it all stays the same, ill still stop by the site...thanks for workin on it man
  6. ya know....the 90bt isnt all that bad...ive got the 900, same thing prety much. make sure you have the update...if you dont have the update there is your problem, if you are updated, im not sure why you would want to get rid of it. What ever hype was all about the Loading times, it doesnt phase me at all, and im getting remote start hooked up soon so it will really be a thing of the past. Plus the new F series looks amazing, software and hardware. And its HD basied, no more disk. Plus, im sure your getting better pre outs with the 90, i dont know the specs on the D3 though. tha
  7. Thats possible, turn down the gain while everything is on and see if the hiss goes away at the same volume. Right now im getting a little hiss too, the EQ is located under the front passenger seat and i just havnt gotten around to turn the gain down and get rid of it.
  8. Both the 900 and 90bt have its own EQ in the HU. The reason I bought the AudioControl EQS was the boost in preouts to send a better signal to my amps (like the 900 has 2.2v, and 90 has 4v..the EQS boots it more than the 2.2 i would normaly be getting fromt he 900) and it also has more oppertunity to expand my system. So the reason i said to go witht he Premier, was for the stronger pre outs since you are going to be running an amp for the sub and amp for the componets. It would better benifit you. Not really pertaining to the EQ part.
  9. The premier would work better since it has 4v pre outs, as opposed to the 2.2 from the 900bt. Ive got the 900, and my system consits of: (2 sets) 6.5" MB Quart PVI 216 Componets Alpine PDX 4.100 Alpine PDX 1.600 (2) Kenwood Shallow mount subs. AudioControl EQS equalizer and with all this hooked up to it....it sounds great. Works fine, the RCA preouts from the HU are great, no complaints. I havnt had a chance to tweak the EQ yet since its been pissing rain outside latly, so i just use the "vocal" setting on the HU's EQ, and it sounds sweet. If you dont have an EQ to boost your
  10. there is nothing you can do about this, other than keep the audio levels down. I dont know the correct terms, or why exactly it happens, but I do know what it is. I had the same thing happen, and it was because I had all stock stuff, Speakers and stock amp. I have since then upgraded to all new componets all around the truck (2 sets), an amp to power them, and a AudioControl EQS equalizer. With the EQS, i can adjust the pre outs to give me more than the normal 2.2v pre outs the F900 gives me, but if i completly max out the gain and the other power options i have (I dont have it in fro
  11. Ive had to reset the unit since it just wouldnt connect to the service, but it has got me around 1 traffic jam once, which was nice, though the area i live it doesnt have weather, movies or gass, just traffic, but im in the middle of San Fran and Sac, both places i go to often, and both have great service there from what I can tell. Oh yea...it also found me a gass station when i was on E, but i gues I can find that on any nav
  12. an hour and a hald away isnt far at all, and much closer than a $300 drive haha. You can get it done man for cheap or you must have some friends who know about car audio.
  13. what year make and model vehicle do you have? I have some friends in So Cal, it would almost be worth driving down tehre, do that for the fuck of it, and hang out and party for a weekend. also, im thinkin about getting the PAC SWI-PS, please tellme thats what you use to enable your OEM (stock) sterring wheel controls? That would be a beautiful thing. im bored at the moment, and i feel like helping you out, im goin to sleep, but when you get me this info, im gonna show you how easy this is.... by the way, I checked on the PAC SWI-PS on crutchfield, all you need...for themost pa
  14. 300 for install????? Dude........dude..(dude), this is easy, I replaced this with my 3 year old Alpine IVA-D300, and that SOB was more difficult than this, and it wasnt navi. What you do, is buy a pack of your fav cold beer, and connect wires, and thats about it. When you buy the factory wire harnes kit for your specific vehicle...it will tell you what all the wires are for collors and all....and on the Pioneer...hey, it does the same thing, So you connect all them together, and then click the harnes in. You can ground it all from the screws you use to screw in the deck to y
