  1. I have the Bluetooth connection working for both voice and music yes, but no luck getting the Apps option going on the main screen. Not sure what you mean by calibrating the white dots, sounds like you're having more luck than I am with getting appradio going.
  2. Having an extremely frustrating time with this. I've got my X8500BHS working, HTC One connected to it via MHL adapter to HDMI and USB1 (Pioneer CD-AH200 kit), downloaded Pioneer Appradio app, CarMediaPlayer, got the Carkeyboard as default typing input, tried App Connection as both iphone AV as well as "others", and still see nothing but a greyed out Apps button on the main screen. Anyone who's got an Android phone going with app radio mode, how did you get it to work? What were your exact menu settings?
  3. Does google maps really not work with AR? That's extremely disappointing, may need to do the whole ARLiberator thing now.
  4. Wow, remind me never to update the firmware on my X8500BHS if it's optional.... sounds like a pain.
  5. Had this installed by a local shop yesterday, along with the XA-R800C Sony backup camera and everything seems to be working fine except the parking brake bypass that I purchased on ebay. That and there's a constant static sound that I need alleviating by the shop as soon as I have some time to drop by. Don't have my android phone yet to test appradio mode with (waiting for the preordered HTC One to be released this month). Find it strange that there's a mini-hdmi cable sticking out of my dash, which I'm guessing is part of the Pioneer CD-AH200C android kit. Are there any phones that st
  6. I had the most frustrating time trying to find their phantom cable that's listed on their site for android phones (cda-h200). Asking various retailers as well as Pioneer themselves what the difference is between that and cda-h200C for App Radio 2 was like pulling teeth. In the end, I ordered the cda-h200C for $40, so can't complain TOO much. "Scumbags" is right.
  7. I'm actually picking up the backup camera, android cable, and micro bypass today from the post office. The X8500BHS is scheduled to come in this Thursday. Hopefully I can have it installed on Saturday so that I can contribute something meaningful to ppl considering the unit, stay tuned. As for the camera, it has the best combo of price and good reviews that I can find, I've got high expectations for it.
  8. I'd much rather keep it in the trunk than under the seat obviously. Once they break into the car to tamper with the locked trunk release, the compustar 2-way alarm will go off (no external trunk keyhole).
  9. IMHO, the fact that the faceplate is detachable is easily worth at least $50+.
  10. Just ordered this off a seller on ebay for ~$520, lowest price I've seen it for so far. Also ordered a micro bypass, Android cable, Sony backup camera. Won't be able to report on how well this works with Android phones as I'm still waiting for the release of the HTC One. Surprised to see so little reviews of this unit so far, and so few youtube videos of it.
  11. Trying to choose between the X850BT and the X950BH. I'm an Android user (or will be, currently on Blackberry). Is the app radio mode worth the additional $100 for the X950BH (plus the cost of the cable)? Does Aha Radio work via Bluetooth for the android on the X850BT?

    JVC- NX7000 help

I've been unable to find a video in which the navigation voice is audible. Anybody know of one, or willing to upload a clip? Is the computer navigator a male or female voice?
