could it be the black power harness wires?

hey i have been using the avid d3 for a while now and suddenly a error message came across the screen and within a split second it would turn off. I tried to press the reset button on the interface and it would just show the error message and turn off. Now it doesn't even power on at all. I even pulled it out and connected it straight to the car battery and it doesn't even turn on. The fuse is fine, any help on this? theres no sign of power witht he red power wire but some other wires touched and i it had sparks. But i never got to power it on. Help thanks

Hey guys well had the d3 for a while tried to figure it out, but one thing is that it doesn't save any settings... is there a way i can save the time settings the sound settings and the lcd light settings? did i do sumthin wrong? because everytime the car shuts off and turns back on the setting change back to the settings the guy i had be4 i bought the d3 off him. thanks

the power wire harness i got with the d3 has no wire for braking brake....tha 1 slot is empty like it got pulled out or something....do i have to buy a new power wire harness or can i use some type of wire? thanks

Hey guys I'm tryin to bypass the unit I bought off ebay...put there seems to be no parkin brake wire on the power harnes...there is not light green wire..seems as if its pulled out...do I have to buy another harness or can I do sumthin else??? Thanks alot

hey guys just got the avic d3...installed it but the parking brake is always labeled off.....i bypassed it but i see no parking wire...is it the dark blue and white striped wire? because in the pictures it looks baby blue and there is no baby blue wire....I cant watch DVDs at all or even enter my desitnation in the map ..half my functions arent available....is this because my parking brake is always off????? please help thanks

ok i got it to track me down...but for somee reason neither can i select (go to destination) and all i cud do is track where i am its not allowing me to 6even change the time which is wrong...its the time where the gps was before los angles...now im in ny...thanks

Hey guys i have downloaded the CMT80 East DVD... burned it and when i inserted it in the D3 it did all the updates and worked fine, but my gps does not work....I am located in NEW YORK, QUeens...and the gps shows Los Angeles.... am i doing something wrong? I bought the D3 off ebay and the guy didn't have the map dvd or gps atenna...i bought an Trimble gps antenna off ebay also. thanks ALSO MY DVD'S DONT WORK... IT PLAYS THE SOUND BUT NO VIDEO SHOWS.... THIS IS EVE IF THE CAR IS PARKED... THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
