  1. Was having the same problem. Found this post, changed the AV1 setting to Ipod instead of none and it worked. Thanks
  2. I'm hoping that's all that's wrong with mine but I had everything professionally installed including a custom painted dash kit. I even saw that that the wires were soldered when it was being installed. Maybe they'll be able to tell me what the problem is when I go back for some touch up work on the dash. I really don't want to have to take it out and mail it back. I bought it "new" on ebay so I do have concerns about the unit itself being the problem. let me know how your's goes.
  3. I don't know that I would rule out wiring problems. Metal expands and contracts with heat so if a metal wire is barely making contact and it gets cold it would shrink slightly and move away from its source. Once it warms up it could move even closer to the source making greater contact than if it were just at room temp. Maybe I'm way off but at least that's how I'm rationalizing it.
  4. I'm also having issues w/ my F90BT related to weather but it doesn't have to be as cold. Basically my screen flickers on cold startups below 70 degrees but once it warms up there aren't any problems. Hard for me to make a complaint or return it to the supplier when it only acts up because of temperature. I'm hoping there's nothing wrong with the unit, maybe just loose wiring from the installation.
  5. I've had the F90bt for about 2 weeks. I noticed the screen blinks like its cutting on/off every few seconds while it boots up and it lasts for a few minutes until the unit is warm. I live in south florida so I didn't realize it until I headed north a week ago for the holidays and the temperature was around 50 at night. Seems to happen only when the temperature drops below 70 and lasts relative to how cold it is. Everything functions normally: touchscreen, radio, sound etc. I saw where someone else had problems with the touchscreen not working when it was cold but couldn't find anyone else with
  6. I pay for a subsciption on another stereo and have no problem paying for one with this system. (which doesn't pick up free channels anymore by the way). But I appreciate the sarcasm...
  7. I've read through this entire thread (more than once) and it has alot of very useful info. I had a question as a nubie. My HU was installed professionally and I asked him to ground the parking brake (which I read here) because I plan on doing the software bypass. Right now, when I get to about 10 mph the "parking brake not properly attached" message comes up, does this mean it is successfully grounded? I saw someone who asked this question but I didn't see an answer. My next step is the software bypass but before I do that I wanted to confirm that the parking brake is grounded. If this isn't
  8. Just to add to this post, I had an xm receiver I bought on amazon installed with my new F90bt last week. It is getting a select few channels (like 20 or so). Not sure if it's a demo subscription of some kind, but it is a little different in that I don't seem to be picking up every channel. I'm hoping I may be missing a setting that lets me access more of them. Weird. Anyway, just wanted to add my experience.
  9. I bought it in November when live.com was offering 30% cashback. Paid $634 for a F90BT from a DIFFERENT ebay vendor and should be getting $190 cashback (we'll see) They said the system was new but I can't be sure. Looked like there were some hairline sctratches where things had been plugged in but everything worked fine. May have been because it has the 2.0 update?
