If you're trying to install 3.0 update you need to update WINCE. go here and follow everything viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817&hilit=fresh+3.0+install and you should be good. you do need testmode 2.3 and not the one with MiTaCaP

I just experienced the same exact problem tonight. After finally getting the menus on by pressing randomly MAP and MENU, i turned my car off and on again and now it wouldn't show me empty screen but: "CAUTION: SCREEN IMAGE MAY APPEAR REVERSED". After reviewing a lot of threads on this forum and seeing that so many people have this problem I decided to try some of the easier options that people posted. Advice for everybody. Start with the easiest and effective things you can do. Try the reset + Eject button for 5 seconds this rebooted my unit and finally started up past the black screen.

ok so i have the 08 civic si and it has the factory amplifier and amp and my installer hooked up the f90bt and it has that hissing sound. what exactly do i need to make it stop? cheapest and easiest way. thanks p.s. ill go tomorrow to a different audio shop and ask them if they know how to solve this problem

ok so pretty much my installer said that im getting that noise because i am receiving feedback from the factory amp. so you said that if im getting this harness this noise will be gone? i just want to be 110% sure so i dont throw my money out the window

ok so pretty much my installer told me the same thing what flyboyindy said and he said that in order to get rid of that i would have to get an aftermarket amp. can you mazumder let me know where you got that SVEN4 in-line converter. I went on peripheral electronics' website and they dont have the sven4 for a 08 civic si. if you can find one from a different manufacturer would you mind giving me the website or at least tell me the part number. it would be greatly appreciated. that noise is really annoying and i was also trying to keep my sound system stock even though i already have an amp and

Just booted up in testmode and changed the memory to 2048 and disabled error reporting. pulled the sd out and turn the key off and then on and there is no response time improvement and when I went back to testmode the setting where back to default. so it doesnt work in 2.0 or just not my unit

is there any way that somebody can send me a small silence.wav file? because i downloaded one and its 170kb which is bigger than the 40kb ones that the navi had. thanks. pm pe with the silence.wav file

so did this happen to anybody else or just me? can you guys play .avi's off a dvd+ or -r

actually it does say that it will play video files from a dvd-r only if its finalized. i have nero 7 and writing lead-out at the end finalizes the dvd, at least thats what i read on some forums. and it did play a .avi file from one of my dvds but only one movie out of 5. and then how can i play .avi files? from a usb stick or sd card? i heard i lags

ok so i burned some downloaded movies on a DVD+R and DVD-R and they do not play. it says unrecognized file or something like that. I tried one of my old burnt DVDs and only one of the movies plays and I cant forward to any other movie without getting the unrecognized file message. i read some forums online about dvds and it says something about finalizing a disc because some players wont play the content. does anybody else have this problem?

pretty much as soon as the pioneer powers up after like 30 seconds when the ipod starts to play if i turn the volume down to 0 theres this hissing noise so ill probably go back to the place i got it done at and let them know about the situation. im driving a 08 civic si and its using the stock amp
