  1. Well I didn't get very far. Went to Verizon tonight and talked to a salesman. They had a Z10 for $79.99 with 2 yr. contract. I started asking about the quality of the phone and problems I had read about on crackberry.com The salesman said its a great looking phone but very unreliable. He has only sold one since they have been out and it was returned. It seems they reboot randomly as many as 5 or 6 times a day. You may be talking on the phone or texting or doing nothing at all and it just reboots. Rim is supposed to be working on this. May just wait a few months to see how things work out. A re
  2. Very good idea about getting a demo with the BB Z10 Thanks
  3. Well like the title says. I have used Blackberry for many years up until two years ago. With all the problems BB was having I jumped ship and went to iPhone 4S. It's a great device and works very well with my Pioneer Avic-X950BH. I am now re looking at the new BB Z10. As far as Bluetooth I know the phone will work but what about Pandora or the tunes in my BB music library should I set it up. Any other things I might want to know should I go back to BB.
  4. I would like to add my 2 cents before this thread gets locked. As far as what does and does not come with a USB or what ever, this is the reason for so many choices and price ranges on radio head units. One shops before one buys looking for features and compares cost. I bought an avic x950bh. Love the radio. Price range ran from $700 to $950. I am still learning the radio coming from an avic x930bt. I can't get the caller ID to work despite following the directions and can't find a mph reading on my gps like I could on the older radio. I don't think pioneer sucks and love their products.
  5. I fixed mine! Okay what I did. I went back to the install instructions for my X950BH. There was a "trigger" wire, purple or violet in color. It actually had a tad that said it was a reverse connection wire. I connected it to the light green wire that was in a junction box left of the brake pedal. The junction has a black cover with a long plastic hex " push on, unscrew type" nut. The wire was near the upper right corner of the junction. To test it set e- brake for safety, turn ignition on. The light green wire should show no voltage. With the ignition on BUT TRUCK NOT STARTED put the gear shif
  6. I am having the same problem with a 2006 Sierra. I get no splash screen when I start the truck if the camera is turned on. I get a black screen until I put the truck into reverse then I get my picture. When I go into drive the screen goes black. As long as I don't push the mode button I get a back up pic when I shift into reverse. If I push mode to get to the radio screen I don't get my back up camera any more until I shut the truck off and restart. I have the X590Bh. I have read this forum until my eyeballs hurt and can't figure it out. I have wired and rewired, changed polarity with every co
  7. I had an X930BT that would tell me how fast I was driving. I can't seem to find it on the X950BH. I also have followed the directions to get caller ID from my contacts list when I receive a bluetooth call and that does not seem to work either. Any ideas???
  8. Just an added note, it was password protected and Pioneer has been notified in case it would come back for service or password release.
  9. A week ago my Sierra was broken into. The thief popped the driver side door lock through. The front of the dash was ripped off and my head unit stolen. They also tried to steel the truck by jamming something into the ignition and forcing it to turn, they did $1000 damage to the ignition alone. My insurance company replaced my Pioneer with the latest availablee model radio. I had the X930bt, I ended up with the X950BH. I got it installed today with the bypass. I twice got a warning the unit detected the E brake wire was not connected properly but canceled it out and everything worked fine. This
  10. I am sorry I have no answer to your question. I was looking to buy this same unit and was wondering if your were able to do the bypass on the harness. If so could you post a link.
  11. Why would you plug the phone into the cable unless you wanted to listen to the ipod? Mine automatically starts ipod unless I have Pandora started on my phone before I plug it in then Pandora starts automatically. If you dock it to charge it then a standard car charger works faster and better for the said purpose.
  12. what kind of papers came with it? sounds hot. there is a reference on this forum to resting a password.
  13. I have a good pic. You have two triangle shape removable panels. One on the left and one on the right ends of the dash. The left has fuses and the right has various harness plug ins. I will look for you PM.
  14. someone please answer this. I am having the same problem
  15. I don't know if it is numbered or not. I installed the cab lights from recon. I got onto dieselplace.com and did a wire hook up search for adding these lights. There is a pin on the right side of the dash under the triangular cover that the factory cab lights harness would plug into if you had factory cab lights. If I remember it was the lower right pin. It would be easy to tell. Take a 12 volt test light and have someone turn your lights on and off. The test light will also go on and off. Do this with the interior/dash light dimmer switch rolled down to the off position. One of these pins is
